No, the Earth is much much older. This is why the Bible is not to be taken literally. If anything, we were meant to eventually point out these inconsistencies. The truth is that the dinosaurs existed a long time ago (dragons) and were created to be just another amazing addition to life here on Earth.

The dinosaurs existed at a time when gravity as we experience it now was attenuated, and we experience much muss less of it. This is how dinosaurs like the ultrasaur and massive bids like the teratorn were able to walk and fly around without collapsing under their own weight.

Moses compiled the books of Genesis and Job, then they wrote Exodus, Leviticus,
Numbers and Deuteronomy, the six [ 6 ], books were complete 1513 before Christ.
They did Exit Egypt 857 years after the flood.
They were in the Promised Land the 897th year after the flood.
Abraham was given the Promised Land covenant 427 years after the flood.
So that Exo.7:7 [ Moses age 80 ]; Exo.12:40,41 [ 430 years at Exodus ];
Numbers 33:38,39 Aaron died in the 40th year. Deut.34:7 Moses died in 40th year.
Joshua 5:6,10,12 at end of 40 years 898 after the flood.
Judges 11:26; 300 years Jair dies, 1198 years after the flood, 1212 before Jesus.

From Moses death 897th year 1K.1:6 add 480 years + 36 1Ki.11:42 Solomon dies at
1413 years after the flood and 997 years before Christ.
Jesus was here 4066 [ Rome took over 4004 ]; after Adam created, 2006 years ago.

I read the 4004 account in some Catholic literature.
I have a 4026 account as well.
Some are 3890 to 3970 or something like that.

Gen.1:1,2 [ All exist, we have to know the time is billions, sun said to be 4.5 bil ];
Gen.1:1-25 [ the focus is preparing earth for first plant, then animals the oldest animal could not be over 19,942 years old, and if that meant dinasaurs, so be it, the earth was being prepared to last for the world's inhabitant, with fuels furnished ];
Eden to now as all LOST, to time all is SAVED in Rev.20:1-6 [ 1000 years ]; This ends
Preparation time at 49,000 years.

Eph.2:7; 3:21 The world wiith Jesus is without end John 3:16;

It is not correct. Creationists mis-interpet the Bible and say everything was created in 6 literal 24 hour days a little over 6000 years ago.

You do not have to be a creationist to believe in a creator and creation.

The Bible does use the term "day"

If you were to say: "In my Granfather's "day" they drove model A Fords". I would know that you were not talking about a 24 hour period, but instead you are talking about the period of time long ago when your Grandfather was young.

The Genesis account, and the language of the Bible allows for the use of the term "Day" in that very way. The term day can mean "age" or "era" or "epoch". In fact look at the context in Genesis 2:4. In that location clearly day does not mean a 24 hour period.

A very important proof of this is that the 6 creative days came to an end....but NOT the 7th "day" on which God "rested". The apostle Paul indicated in his writings that the 7th day had not ended. Clearly the 7th day is way longer than 24 hours.

The fact of the matter is that each of the creative days could have lasted hundreds of thousands or even millions of years.

Now consider the physical evidence. The scientists dig down through layer upon layer only to find that the various layers MATCH the description of the epochs or days of creation found in Genesis. Dinosaur fossils are part of this proof.

The previous creative era was for plant life in abundance, (more abundance than you can imagine)...That era possibly lasted for hundreds of thousands of years or more....in order to prepare the earth for man and domestic animals, (and possibly to provide future fossil fuel)...God created the great small-brained plant eating, plant stomping Dinosaurs to stomp and grind the vegetation.....after they were done they were no longer needed and neither would they coexist well with man. God then terminated them. Any isolated remaining dinos drowned in the great flood.

The fact is that if "creationists" had argued in harmony with the Bible instead of insisting that creation was only 6 literal days long only about 6,000 years ago....then perhaps the true creation account could be taught or at least stated in the public school ciriculums.

Perhaps more people would check out the Bible's message if they were clear on the Bible teaching of the creative eras.

The dinosaur fossils are BF (Before Flood). There was flooding, lightening, earthquakes, etc. that fossilized certain things.

The Word wasn't created by God in 4004 BC. The Word was face to face with God and Is God. In the Beginning Elohim created the heavens and the earth. Elohim is Father, Word & Holy Spirit. God didn't create the Word of God. God is the Word of God.

According to fundies, the universe is about 6000 years old, which means the light from the stars less than halfway across our own galaxy should not be visible yet. Every night new stars should appear in the sky as their light finally reaches earth and the light from the nearest galaxy to ours (Andromeda) should not arrive for another almost 2.2 million years. Their assertion that the universe came into being at that time is the biggest load of crap unloaded on Humanity until the introduction of light beer.

There are 3 heaven and earth ages, same heaven and earth but different ages.

II Pet.3:5-7 For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water: 6 Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished: 7 But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.
……………………………………….
THE WORLD THAT THEN WAS
Gen.1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

To that earth age the world that then was, belongs all fossils and remains. Scientific estimates or guesses; universe or heavens 20 billion years old, earth 4.6 billion years old, moon 200 to 300 million years younger than earth, dinosaur extinction 65 million years ago, Ice Age 2.5 million years ago.
………………………………………………………………
BEING OVERFLOWED WITH WATER PERISHED
Gen.1:2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep.

AND THE EARTH WAS
The word “was” (hayah) in Hebrew, was not distinguished by the Revisers, that is the verb “to be” from “to become”. The same Hebrew word “hayah” is translated “became” in Gen.2:7.
AND THE EARTH BECAME

WITHOUT FORM H8414 tohu (to'-hoo) From an unused root meaning to lie waste; a desolation (of surface), that is, desert; figuratively a worthless thing; adverbially in vain: - confusion, empty place, without form, nothing, (thing of) nought, vain, vanity, waste, wilderness.

VOID H922 bohu (bo'-hoo) From an unused root (meaning to be empty); a vacuity, that is, (superficially) an undistinguishable ruin: - emptiness, void.
AND THE EARTH BECAME DESOLATE AND EMPTY
Earth was not created that way but became desolate and empty due to Satan’s rebellion. A global overflowing of water, but not Noah’s deluge. Darkness was upon the (face) of the deep, in other words the whole earth.
Into this we can read; dinosaur extinction, destruction of Atlantis, breakup of Gondwana Land, and the Ice Age.
………………………………………………………………………...
BUT THE HEAVENS AND THE EARTH WHICH ARE NOW
Gen.1:2 And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
Gen.1:3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

About 63 A.D. Peter writes, the heavens and the earth which are now. The heaven and earth age we are in now, today.
BY THE SAME WORD ARE KEPT IN STORE
RESERVED UNTO FIRE
AGAINST THE DAY OF JUDGMENT
AND PERDITION OF UNGODLY MEN
PERDITION G684 apoleia (ap-o'-li-a) From a presumed derivative of G622; ruin or loss (physical, spiritual or eternal): - damnable (-nation), destruction, die, perdition, X perish, pernicious ways, waste.
Some will perish eternally and not see the third heaven and earth age.

Creationism is based on faith, not fact. If you believe in Creationism, then you imagine God created dinosaurs I guess. Personally, as a science major,I think there's a lot of flaws in Creationism. I believe in a higher power, but not the "word" written by a bunch of guys hangin' out a long time ago in robes and long beards.

Chances are you read it in a Christian work, because that is false. Dinosaurs and their kin first evolved 250 million years ago and then were wiped out in a mass extinction 65 million years ago.

Anyone who tells you otherwise is a creationist and shouldn't be taken seriously as they think their Bible is the only thing that's right, despite all the evidence against it.
