What would happen if "they" tried to kill him.?? WOUld there be a new religious war?

Do you think that : "if they did try to kill him, they would prove what pope benedictine said was true?"

The pope only quoted what benedictine said, he never said that he agreed with that. Is that why "they" want to kill him??
Comments Please?

I recently had a very interesting conversation with a friend of mine who is Agnostic. I was raised in church and am Catholic. He was not trying to change my beliefs but I am open minded and though I completely believe in God- I would like to understand his arguments better. He told me his favorite author was Frederick Nietzsche so I read up on some of his philosophies but I still have many questions. I'M NOT CONVERTING, Just learning. So if you are an Agnostic and feel like talking about this subject in depth, please reply here or e-mail me at love_n_hate84@yahoo.com Thanks in advance!

I was raised a Jehovah Witness as a child and had so much anger towards my mother when I found out that I had been cheated a Christian lifestyle. I realize now that I was brain washed as so many of them are. I still don't know where the religion came from or find something to show my mother. My church gave me some brochures but I really need a website or something. I feel sorry for my mother who has lost 30 years to this and is always depressed and sad. She deserves more in life and it is such a challenge to talk to her about anything. I want to send her a link so that she can look privately without admitting to me that she did-to find the REAL truth.

I was wondering if there is anyone who is into biblical studies that is in need of accountability and just wants to talk to someone about bible. I am a sophomore at columbia international university and am majoring in Biblical Theology and Biblical Languages and would love to talk to someone concerning anything relating to the bible. I was thinking that maybe skype or something like that would be a good way to commuicate and challenge each other.

My friend Amber has been having a tough time with life lately... she is having medical problems and has to have a surgery soon, but her doctors aren't on top of everything and she's physically, mentally, and emotionally exhausted. besides asking for your prayers for her, i'm asking for help finding encouraging, uplifting, "it will get better" perk-up kind of songs to make a mix for her. songs about the power/awesomeness of God are good to, like songs from the passion: everything glorious cd (but i already have those, you know). i'm open to any suggestions, as long as they are clean. and preferably contemporary christian, or country. but for real, i'm open to anything. if you think of any good ones after you have already posted or the question's closed, feel free to email them. I'd like to get it done by Christmas, if not before. Thanks much!

Take the following for example: "Why callest thou me good? There is none good but one, that is God" (Matthew 19:17). "My father if greater then I." (John 14:28) Also see Matthew 24:26 Clearly, Jesus is denouncing the possibility of him being God
22) Jesus said, "whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire" (Matthew 5:22).

so any Christian's whosoever worship Jesus shall go to hell ,yet people worship him....
Pray to God one and only...........

I have to look at the world and wonder where did the values and morals go. You may say this is a closed minded thought, however I believe that our standards are about bottomed out, and regardless of what anyone thinks, there will be a day of accountabilty. I for one do not believe it is about "religion", but about a personal relationship with a wonderful Saviour. It seems nobody wants to be accountable for their actions. No one will just say I did it, or I was wrong. Do I think I am perfect, indeed NOT.,but I want to strive to live a better life and be an example to our young people. I often wonder why everything has to be promoted by some sort of vulgarity. You may say I'm old fashioned, well so be it. I still believe in clean living and Godly standards and I am not ashamed to tell the world. My peace comes from God, nothing or nobody else can give you that and you certainly cannot buy it. God Bless

If given the oppertunity to help the less fortunate for the holiday season what would you do and why? Will you say it here and leave it here? Or will you say it here and do it tomorrow?

Vicious circle that can never be resolved using reasoning processes that are based on cause and effect. It requries a higher level of "reasoning" that isn't based on cause and effect -- but then we are faced with the same question: Who or what "created" that higher level of reasoning?
