What impact would it bring to our lives?

What would you say about this life bieng a second chance from a previous life.
Whatever we have done and yet to do is preplanned.
For example if you commited a sin in the previous life, this life is a chance not to commit the sin or atleast learn from your mistakes. Sensible views please?

Do you think they do this out of hate, ignorance or is it just of case of trying to serve their own ends by trying to demonize those who don't share their beliefs ?

I was just wondering because the Bible says that Mary and Joseph had more children after the virgin birth of Christ, so Mary was not a virgin when she died.

Many muslims that I have talked to state that Palestine is the core political, social and sentimental issue that causes the middle east and muslim population in general view West with distrust. Although I sympathise with the Palestinina cause, I think it is quite wrong to agree to such a statement. Most of the Islamic movements want to establish a theocracy based on the early Caliphate where the sharia is implemented and non-muslims have to pay Jeziah. Al Quaida, Taliban, Hamas, Islamic Brotherhood in Egypt and Lashkar -e-Taiba are only a few organiztions that are working towards this goal. If Palestine is resolved there will always be a Kashmir or a Sudan or Nigeria. Who knows, there might be even a claim upon Spain.
Do you think that it is foolish to keep a theocracy as an ultimate goal? Shouldn't such organizations be considered a hinderence in the world's acceptance of Islam?

In view of Mankind's ultra-bloody and violent history, and all the suffering that still plagues the planet, isn't it far more likely that God is more like a Mean Kid Burning Bugs With His Magnifying Glass than a kind, benevolent, caring god? After all, even the Biblical God fit the "Mean Kid" description far better than the other version. Ten points to the best honest, insightful answer. Flamers and Religious zealots: don't waste your time answering.

freedom of expression and to wear what we want. It is not neccersary to cover from tip to toe. I love living in the UK, and would not move anywhere else (apart from a few countries) simply because I would be given up my rights as a woman. We get treated better here than alot of other places in the world, even countires that are predominantly muslim. Yes I agree there are some people that don't like our religion but thats life, everyone has their own opinions get on with it. We can't pick at every little thing, we should just get on with it......Who agrees??

PS.The purpose of the Q was that alot of people seem to say that muslims dont amdmit their flaws.

Since the earth have been around for over 2 billion years and modern man maybe a few million years. My theory is that religion was born when man became acutely concious of his own mortality and self, a few thousand years ago (unlike animals) and had to come up with a explanation for his exsitance and what happens after his death. Any other explanation or theory please beside the simplistic it came from god.

Well, leftists Christians believe so, but how do conservative Christians rationalize this extreme of pacifism? Honestly, doesnt Christianty kinda fall apart here?

I mean, enemies are enemies, its not like we can get "metaphoric" about this, like saying "well, it means your internal enemies"...come on.

Hey, I identify with conservative Christians, even though I reject all religion, but honestly, why do you think leftists are the way they are? Isnt it Christan morality, I mean, they are all Christians arent they?

If god was real, why would there be two main branches of christianity (catholic and protestantism). even if one of them is technically more "correct," then how could god allow that almost half of the adherents to the faith (in the whole world) were following an incorrect version of christianity.

I seen alot of people here argue incorrectly, saying " yeah, well god gives us free will and (yada ,yada yada)" but i think that is missing the point and also, it is insanely perverse to think that someone was using "free will" to choose the branch of christianity that was not the "right one"
If you were born into one of those two branches of christianity and taught it by your parents, and that was the wrong one, there is no free will. ----CONTINUES BELOW---------

If you really believe the Quran stands up to scrutiny, you wont get angry and report me for asking a fair question. Heres some of what the Quran says about magical genies (jinn):

Quran 15:27 “And the Jinn race, We had created before, from the fire of a scorching wind.” http://www.usc.edu/dept/MSA/quran/015.qmt.html#015.027

Quran 46:29 “Behold, We turned towards thee a company of Jinns (quietly) listening to the Qur'an: when they stood in the presence thereof...” http://www.usc.edu/dept/MSA/quran/046.qmt.html#046.029

So, Genies are visible ("we turned towards Jinn") and they are a "race" of creatures different from man. If this is so, then we surely would have some evidence of their existance over the last 1400 years since the Quran claimed their presence.

I dont believe in any religion. I dont believe in angels or devils, however, as a matter of logic, angels and devils conviently exist in a spirtual world that avoids this problem where Genies dont. Wheres the proof?
