Well, leftists Christians believe so, but how do conservative Christians rationalize this extreme of pacifism? Honestly, doesnt Christianty kinda fall apart here?
I mean, enemies are enemies, its not like we can get "metaphoric" about this, like saying "well, it means your internal enemies"...come on.
Hey, I identify with conservative Christians, even though I reject all religion, but honestly, why do you think leftists are the way they are? Isnt it Christan morality, I mean, they are all Christians arent they?

Eh, the US just needs to turn everything between the Mediterranean, Black, Caspian seas, and the Persian Gulf into a sheet of glass. Meaning we just need to blow the entire Middle East to bits and just start over. Look at what its like over there. Every country over there is at war, and has been at war for hundreds of years. Not to mention the US just recently turn Iraq into a neverending quagmire of gunfire and violence. It's not an anti-muslim thing here, its just a theory of ending the constant bloodshed in the region. Nuke the entire area and move on, there is no "peacefull" or "diplomatic" solution to anything in that region.
But as far as loving your enemies.... I dunno... I'm a Druid, and I like some Christians, but I won't say I love 'em.

"Loving you enemies" does extend to Jihadist and even Bin Laden. The question now becomes HOW do you love your enemy? The Bible answers that by saying to pray for them, and to do good for them.
As a Christian, I pray regularly that God opens the eyes of those people that they see what they are doing is wrong and that their hearts be changed. That the hatred be removed from them.
And I do what I can to "do good" for them. I support a Lebanesse Christian pastor friend of mine who ministers in the middle east. He helped to supply food, water, clothes, etc to the Khurds and others in need during Sadaam's reign.
As long as Juhadist - or any group - are involved in terrorism, murder, etc against innocents, there will be need for the military to try to protect people and nations. But in the end, the victory against these peopl will not come by guns or bullets, but by prayer and kindness that turns their hearts from hate and violence.

Yes, Christians must love their enemies. However loving them does not mean the enemy is no longer held accountable for what they have done. It is the same thing with forgiveness of sin. When a person sins, they are guilty. God will forgive them but they must still bear the consequences of that sin. Bin Laden must die! What God does with him is not up to me.

What is the alternative to loving your enemies? Are you suggesting we all have AK 747's or that we will all be safe if we just have a Nuclear Shield all around us all the time?
Wait a moment, we do have the shield, so why did it not stop Benny Laden? Oh well, it is just easier and quicker to put a reward on his head, Wanted Dead or Alive. Oh yeah, we did that two.
Well forget it, Opray is going to be on in three minutes, maybe she knows.

i think of Kevin Williams has an remarkable view of love and hate. you could not hate a individual till you adore him first? it somewhat is an entire non-sequitur. He additionally claims that real evil would not exist, that this is in basic terms distorted goodness. Such sophistry in basic terms dilutes the meaning of those words till they are meaningless. and that i strongly disagree along with his baseless assertion that all and sundry human beings could be enjoyed unconditionally. i think of it may be outstanding if love have been the default place we prepare in direction of strangers, whether this is risky and downright risky to love a individual who hates you and ability you injury, no count if that individual is a terrorist or an abusive significant different. this is not undemanding to assert what love is as defined with the aid of Mr. Williams, because of the fact he's diluted the word to meaninglessness. once you're searching for a definition of love, I propose you seem someplace else.

Yes, of course. In theory if everyone loved their enemies then you would not want to kill them. Christ said to love your enemy and that means all of your enemies; he didn't say pick and choose which enemies to love.

I don't believe in loving my enemies. They're my enemies for a reason--because they would harm me and those persons I love and destroy those ideals I treasure.
I do believe, however, that all human beings are entitled by their humanity to be treated fairly and humanely by standards which civilized society sets for itself. Even my enemies deserve fair treatment and justice.

I think the generic idea of loving one's enemy can translate into reaching a peace.
I wish I knew aramaic and could read the bible in its orignal language.
