Well this will obviously and already has flown straight over some heads.
Good observation. God should stop lying, too... putting all that deceptive evidence into the world...
I have one thing to say... DNA.

It seems to me that you are implying that religious people lie about their faith. This may be true for some people, but "religious people" (I assume you mean Christians) get their Truth from the Author of Truth, the Creator of the Universe. As long as they abide in that Truth, they are obeying the Commandment not to lie. However, if they claim to be Christian but on the other hand twist God's Word and believe man-made theories that contradict Truth, then they are a liar. The definition of Truth is that anything that contradicts it must be false. That's basic logic.

1) Not all religious people believe in the Bible.
2) A person might sincerely believe that he has The Truth, even when his opinion differs from yours.

If the truth is anything you claim it to be, without evidence, relying only on belief, then any statement you make can be claimed as truth, no matter how ridiculous in nature it might be.

OoOoOo. good question
especially since the bible is BASED on faith. and it talks about faith throughout the whole bible. and then they claim its a truth. but if it WERE the truth, then why would we need faith? wouldnt we just need knowledge? (plus if there is a bit of falseness in a statement, the whole statement because false. just because there may be a little truth doesnt mean its all truth. and regardless there is at least some false in the bible making the bible itself false)

Ha ha ha! Another one of it's many contradictions :-) I've heard (and read but I can't remember exactly where) some verse in the Exodus story where God tells Moses he'll lie to the Pharaoh and 'harden his heart' so he (Pharaoh) won't believe Moses

they believe in there faith so there not lying. they are preaching what there taught. if someone tells you something and says its true and you tell someone else and tell them its true and it turnes out it was a lie i dont believe you should be held responsible for the lie because you didnt know at the time.
