What would happen if "they" tried to kill him.?? WOUld there be a new religious war?
Do you think that : "if they did try to kill him, they would prove what pope benedictine said was true?"
The pope only quoted what benedictine said, he never said that he agreed with that. Is that why "they" want to kill him??

The pope has no reason to infuriate the Muslims by going to Turkey. He should stay home and mind his own business. I'm sure he can find enough problems at home.

Who do you mean by they? When Pope John Paul was shot it was by a single person not a whole country.If there is a crazy person out there who would want to KILL the POPE I do not believe it would cause a HOLY WAR . But I think he has as much security as our president especially when travelling to foreign countries.
P.S. I am a Roman Catholic and I feel sorry for anyone who says they are atheiest. The life we have here is so fleeting the next life Heaven or Hell will be eternal!!!!

Yes, they might try to kill him. No, there would be no religious war, at least not coming from the Christians. They're the ones that want war, not us.
