I don't know, a true theory always has some physical evidence for someone to come up with the theory in the fist place. Theories sometimes get disproved because the evidence may have been first misunderstood. There are no true theories in religion, it's all based off of faith. Evolution does nothing to disprove the existence of God, it only proves an error in the Bible. That's just common sense. The difference between science and religion is that science will and can admit when it is wrong, it takes many centuries for the religious to find follies in their beliefs, like the world being flat for instance. Of course the religious are masters at rewriting history. Those who control history control the present. There may come a time when Evolution is with out a doubt proved to be absolutely true, there sure is about 80% evidence towards this fact, it shouldn't take long for us the get the other 20%, when this happens the religious may just opt to rewrite that part of their history into their beliefs, given enough time, people will believe that it has always been like this, in turn religion mixing with science. It is the only way that religion will survive in the future.

Ignorance-plain and simple-just like the ignorant cling to the word theory believing it denotes doubt about evolution when the fact that evolution occurs is not even remotely in doubt. The theory deals only with mechanisms-the fact that evolution occurs only disproves the literal truth of Genesis. Other than that it says nothing about God.

First of all, a scientific theory isn't the same as a theory in common usage. Gravity is only a theory, after all.

And I don't think evolution proves or disproves anything about god. But sadly, many people who do believe in god see evolution as an attack. Why, I don't know.

I believe that most people who believe in evolution think of this issue in different terms. They think "look at all this scientific evidence! Wow that is cool...evolution happened in this species and that one and so on" without really thinking about how it relates to God. Then when they are presented with the idea that God created everything they think "naa...lol no way. I'm going with the evidence!"\

BTW If your IQ is high enough to type a response then you are plenty smart enough to realize when someone makes a typo and get over it already! He or she is asking a good question...the typo does not change that and we all know what he or she is trying to ask. Let's not play dumb.

For the meaning of the word "theory", see this link:

The theory of evolution doesn't disprove God. It only disproves a literal understanding of Genesis. There are many people who believe in God and in evolution.

Well... for one... good thing you said most. Because my religion accepts both evolution and creation. A great spirit created nature and natural beauty, but everything evolved and is a by-product of that creation. My religion doesn't say that everything was created: *poof* there's a person *poof* there's a cat *poof* there's a tree. But it doesn't say that everything evolved either: that this world evolved from a rock floating in space. What it does say is that there was a spiritual force helping evolution along, sometimes it helped the progress, sometimes it nixed a product of that evolution.

Evolution is a fact.

The theory of evolution describes the process itself (genetic mutation, selection, etc.).

Just as the General Theory of Relativity explains gravity.

Proof: Every dog on this planet evolved from domesticated wolves.

Gravity is a theory too, does that mean it doesn't exist? If so, then how come you don't go floating off into space?

And there's one heck of alot more proof for Evolution than there is for your god.

Because many see it as a fact. Just like many see the theory of creationism as fact.

Not me. Pointing out the FACT that there is more evidence leaning towards evolution, while the is NO proof for creationism.
