I think preaching still counts as soliciting. After all, they are trying to get us to buy their beliefs. ;)

Weather or not the ones doing the preaching realize this is the problem, though, so maybe such signs are needed.

It shouldn't be necessary--the "no soliciting" sign should cover it.

Of course it doesn't, because those preaching don't believe that it applies to them, but likely they will feel the same way about a "no preaching" sign.

btw, the best thing for keeping Jehovah's Witnesses away is a window sticker from the Red Cross that identifies you as a blood donor.

Only if you don't want someone preaching to you. No soliciting just means "don't try to sell me something". Most religions offer bible study for free - so it doesn't pertain to them. If you had a sign that said "No Preaching" I think they would respect it.

I could go either way on this one. But I would say yes. You don't want to have people selling products in a place where you're conducting business, it would be a matter of choice to put the sign up because you don't want people trying to shove their beliefs on you in a place where you're conducting business.

Then how about "Preachers will be shot" next to the "Tresspassers will be shot" signs. But I like your idea. People don't need to be forcing their religion upon others. Simple as that, and I'm not going to go on about that. I've done enough topics like this.

To post such a sign on the house presently or not is a choice God gave yourself.

It wouldn't help...not even in court when you tried to explain how those tracts got stuck up there.

I think the best tactic is still the garden hose.
