i think of you're mistaking myths for the Gods. As a Hellenic polytheist i believe interior the Gods however the Gods at the instant are not limited with the aid of the myths. The myths if taken actually are in basic terms memories and not something, yet while interpreted for their real and underlying meaning and message delivers understanding on the subject of the Gods. Myths are allegories which factors to the mysteries of the Gods. The myths if interpreted for their message leads to understanding of the Gods. The myths whether if taken actually is in basic terms a humorous tale which actually should not be taken too heavily. i will supply you an occasion of the myths and how the interpretativie keys could be used. In delusion it somewhat is declared that Zeus sooner or later bespied the greater youthful prince Ganymede. Ganymede being youthful, good and good-looking caught the eyes of Zeus. Zeus grew to become Himself into an eagle yet pretended to be injured and drained and located Himself on a severe up place. Ganymede taking pity upon the eagle climbed up the severe hill/place and fed the eagle. The eagle then sprung up, carried Ganymede to Olympus whereupon it somewhat is revealed that the eagle is Zeus. Ganymede is granted immortality thereafter. in case you study the story in basic terms as above you will rightly say, "What absurdity!". yet enable us to take one step back and see what the parable is particularly asserting ( what's the honestly message of the parable ). Ganymede represents a youthful guy, crammed with ability and glory. Zeus being the King of the God is the source of all majesty. The eagle is an imposing creature and is traditionally the emblem of authority and ability with the aid of majesty. The severe place concerning hiking shows attempt and ambition ( for with out ambition and attempt you by no ability get to climb ). What the parable is telling us in short is that if somebody in life strives and works not undemanding in direction of something it somewhat is excellent and stunning that's the area of Zeus and prevail His call could actually be immortalized interior the dignity and majesty of what she or he strives for. The difference is Zeus and Odin were idols. The people that worshiped them were in all essence, pagans. That is a normal practice for pagans.

Jesus Christ is not an idol.He is the son of the true living God.
God said his word would never be forgotten.
God said his word would spread all over the world.
God said his word would never be destroyed.
And I don't see it going away anytime soon.

I hope someday Jesus will be thought of as mythical as Odin or Zeus. The tale has been around too long, and shows little sign of going away any time soon.

I think Zeuz worship was around less than 2000 years before being superceded by the latest version of the Mystery Cult god-man, the Jewish version, known as Jesus.

Christianity will not become a myth. Because God is not a myth He has always been here and will always be here.As for Zeus etc...I think people still worship these false gods.

It already is to some, but that doesn't mean it isn't real. What people believe doesn't affect the reality of something.

I give it 100 years before Abrahamic religion is placed in the "Occult" and/or "Mythology" category, where it belongs.
