1)Does the Bible say it's ok to stick up for yourself and defend yourself from harm, bodily harm against attackers.
I know the Bible mentions the right to defend your self.
Can someone give me the scripture to where it says this?

Ron howard said it was ALL BASED ON FICTION, the nights templar and round table is the perpetrators, you beleive in king arthurs legacy about christ which is a fairy tale but you don`t believe in christ at all who is real ,,,what just total hate and ignorance against GOD. The bible warned about people like u when it said that you would go after fables instead of God.

Creationists, many of you use the example, "if I shake up a box of watch parts, it doesn't come together and form a watch" as an argument for intelligent design as opposed to evolution.

Forgetting for a moment that a watch is dead, why, when I shake up a box with a seed, water and dirt, do I get a plant?

The answer is, when you have right ingredients, AND as source of energy, life happens. THE SUN is that source of energy. Humans are nothing more than a complex arrangement of the basic elements (hydrogen, oxygen, carbon, etc) that existed on this planet four billion years ago. It just took the earth & sun a few billion years to shake & bake the right combination to make you.

You can get order (life) out of disorder (random elements) if you add energy.

This is coming from a Christian. Does it not teach that we are to love like Jesus loved? Telling people Jesus loves them would do considerably more good than you are going to hell . . . . that is not productive. I just think people need to understand what being Christ like really means.

I asked an earlier question about Nonbelievers and posed with respect, I did not get attacked.

Not all Christians do that, but why not show Gods love instead of telling non-believers they have no hope. There is hope, God is hope and love.

No I am not in some love sick hippy dream world, but what does it mean to really love?

God doesn't want anyone to go to hell he loves us all, it is our job to let that love show through us through the holy spirit.

I have gay friends, atheist friends, people who are sinners but do I stop loving them and tell them they are going to hell? or do I live the life I should and love them, pray for them and talk with them? Let God save them as I cant.

What does it mean for God himself to offer a sacrifice? Who is He offering it to? What's the meaning behind these stories of the world being created by a sacrifice?

It's stated that the majority of Americans are self-proclaimed Christians. However, the real Christians know that that's not true. Truly there's a minority of honest, full-for-Christ Jesus, the Lord and Savior, Christians. So why, then, do people who do not believe in Christ celebrate Christmas?

You try to do what's good and proper, and yet you suffer. But when you look at the wicked people on this planet, they all seem to be prospering and wealthy. What is the sense of this? If there is a God, why would he allow this to happen. Don't you think that it's the good people who would be prospering in this life, unless, mabye, there is no god, and it's just a dog eat dog world?

"Tower of Babel" The Sequel?

2006-11-21 11:34:11 · 8 answers · asked by Midge 7

The first known persecutions of Christians began around the 2nd century in the outskirts of the Roman empire. These persecutions were brought on by the (irrational) belief that the gods were punishing the people through the effects of nature for allowing the Christian cult to thrive. The persecutors gave the Christians several outs before condemning them to death.

In modern times i see alot of the same things going on... the differences are only that Christians aren't killing homosexuals (though i have no doubt they would if they could), and now they themselves are the persecutors. It seems a bit hypocritical don't you think of a people who have lived through such a harsh persecution themselves to level that same treatment on others?

As far back as four years old, I remember my two older brothers harassing some jewish people, at that age I knew they were wrong, and I felt God within me or I was thinking of God. I always feared God, especially when there was thunder and lighting.

We're all entitled to believe what makes the most sense to us, but let's make it perfectly clear that in science, a theory is something that exists with considerable proof to back it up.

So...if you want to argue against evolution, in favor of creationism, or whatever, please don't do so by saying that it is "only a theory," okay?

Believe nothing.
“It is much easier to believe that it's snowing, than to experience the snow. If you just believe, you can stay inside, stay warm and avoid the cold. That's why people are led up the garden path by others beliefs. It's easier and warmer. And all this 'believing stuff' starts in kindergarten. In the context of your spiritual or personal growth, believe nothing, experiment and test everything, in the laboratory of your own experience. Only then will you be able to separate truth from falsehood, reality from illusion, and lead others with integrity. Challenge and check at least one belief everyday. And if it's found wanting, chuck it or change it. Challenge, check, then chuck or change, now that's a master at work.”

Why when I mention words such as God, Satan, the Bible, do people assume I am with an organized religion of fanatics or a cult type religion. A few ruin it for all. Your relationship with God is personal, you go to church because you need to be refreshed, so why must I be insulted for my beliefs? Christians are more attacked for believing than unbelievers.

God bless you all . . . . is that wrong or harmful to say? Is that offensive? What about God Bless you when you sneeze? Is that an insult? God bless America? Do you not sing this? Ever? Do you use our monetary system in which it says "In God We Trust", should you boycott money? Were you offended when people were praying to God after 911? Do you refuse to say the pledge of allegience . . . . One nation under God? Are you offended by Pray for our troops on a bumper? Religion is organized created by people, God is embedded into this country, not religion. It is in God I believe, not religion. They are two different things!
