It only appears the wicked prosper. But, in reality, the wicked are suffering....suffering so much internally that all the material things don't make a difference. Think about it and you will understand.....plus I think we have all cases...good and bad who have those that prosper and those that don't. Either way, as long as we take care of our self spiritually by treating others as we want to be treated......I say you are prosperous in my book.
Also, think about this......if you did not see those suffer, how would you know what love is? I'm not advocating suffering, but when we suffer, it's through our grief and frustration we realize what we and love are truly capable of....you see, our life is a gift and should be treated as such as well as treating others with brotherly love. Good luck on your search.

Sam D,
I struggled with this for YEARS and I would encourage you to know you are not alone. Read Psalm 73 the whole chapter and see what the wicked REALLY get in the end. Bad things happen to good people and good things happen to bad people this is life.
I do believe as a christian what goes around comes around see Galatians 6:7-9, either in this life or the next.
My grandma used to say the bad are talked about more because they do bad but it is the good people that really endure and this is very true.
My husband and I have been through a lot both together and alone and we are told in scripture not to lean on our own understanding or try to "figure it all out" Proverbs 3:5,6.
Analyzing is paralyzing.
The closer you get to God the more opposition you will face see 11 Timothy 3:12, John15:18.
When I have those thought like you mentioned above come into my mind I stop and thank God for all my blessings and I ask the Holy Spirit to flow through my self so I don't become jealous or envious. This is no "one shot deal" it is a daily fight and we are all a work in progress. Be encouraged and know things have a way of working together for the good Romans 8:28
Peace be with you John 14

The Bible attests to the fact that the wicked prosper. It's sad, but true. Personally, I can't wait for judgment, bc then the evil will end. Sadly, this will mean those ppl will go to hell, so it's got an outcome I'm not looking forward to, but I know that all who go to hell will have had at least one chance to go to heaven, but they rejected it.
Remember, though, God said to build up riches in heaven, bc there, they won't ever become tarnished or break, and evil ppl will never be able to steal them.

You are 100% right! No one ever said just cause you are good or follow Gods laws that you will prosper. If you are a christian then you should look for your reward in heaven, not here on earth.

Look at nature and scientific facts and figure it out. If this world was 'created' the Creator obviously didn't care about which creature was the most loving and kind. We eat kind and loving creatures. We breed them and eat them. Maybe that is the purpose of religions that seeks converts. Maybe God gets hungry too. Who's the king the jungle?

If getting material stuff is what you call prosperity, you're right. If having actual satisfaction in their lives is prosperity, then you are totally wrong. The most miserable people I've ever known had lots of material stuff.

It does not seem that way, It is that way.I am Christian so
I do not fault God.I would say because wicked will do anything for themselves no boundaries.I will admit they have good luck also
I guess I am old school, and believe our reward comes later.

Alas, tis the way of things. No one said life would be fair. Its just that wicked people get what they want faster instead of working for it like good people. Life....Doesn't it suck?

We suffer through experiences to make us stronger, and gain knowledge for God's purposes. Are rewards are stored in heaven, where we are able to enjoy them for eternity.
