1)Does the Bible say it's ok to stick up for yourself and defend yourself from harm, bodily harm against attackers.
I know the Bible mentions the right to defend your self.
Can someone give me the scripture to where it says this?

To your statement about the bible being a "math book where all the questions are wrong" Please look at what the United States of America require to prove a book as history. I doubt you will do this, but if you do you will find that the bible is as historically accurate as any text book used by the school systems today. You will find that while only one or two manuscripts were used by some of the early philosophers like Plato, the bible has hundreds of manuscripts. Now if you take the time to accurately try and disprove the bible then I will find another quote to debate you with, but if you are like the majority of people unschooled in the works of history then you just assume that since someone you know is smarter then you said the bible was wrong, then it must be so. Here is a non bible quote, quit being a tool and letting people who are smarter then you make you believe something that is not true. Figure it out for yourself, and the truth might suprise you.

I don't know if it says it. However, it's reasonable to do so. Ppl will quote "turn the other cheek" for you, however you have to understand that, like many things, there's balance to it. We need to avoid violence when possible, so if someone's being a jerk and messing around with you, try to walk away from it and avoid violence, however, if they're seriously trying to hurt you, then defending yourself is fine. You don't have to take abuse. And if it gets bad, then I think as a last resort you could strike yourself. Sometimes violence is necessary, but the point is it should never be what we reach for first.

33 And he said unto him, Lord, I am ready to go with thee, both into prison, and to death.
34 And he said, I tell thee, Peter, the cock shall not crow this day, before that thou shalt thrice deny that thou knowest me.
35 And he said unto them, When I sent you without purse, and scrip, and shoes, lacked ye any thing? And they said, Nothing.
36 Then said he unto them, But now, he that hath a purse, let him take it , and likewise his scrip: and he that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one.
37 For I say unto you, that this that is written must yet be accomplished in me, And he was reckoned among the transgressors: for the things concerning me have an end.
38 And they said, Lord, behold, here are two swords. And he said unto them, It is enough.

Dead Christians spread no word.

Jesus was the be the one and only martyr.

When Jesus said turn the other cheek he didn't mean become a whipping boy.

He also said those who live by the sword die by the sword.

So, only in the gravest of moments should the skilled person do what is required to get out of there alive.

This is one of those things that depends on the interpreter. Jesus says to turn the other cheek, to forgive 7 x 7, that the peacemakers are blessed. I can't quote any scripture that says we should 'defend ourselves' physically, I usually run really fast.

Jesus didn't resist when He was taken to the cross. In Matthew 4:38-47 Jesus says "You have heard that it was said, 'Eye for eye, and tooth for tooth' (ref. Exodus 21:24). But I tell you. Do not resist an evil person. If someone strikes you on the right cheek, turn to him the other also. And if someone wants to sue you and take your tunic, let him have your cloak as well. If someone forces you to go one mile, go with him two miles. Give to the one who asks you, and do not turn away fro the one who wants to borrow form you You have heard that it was said, 'Love your neighbor and hate your enemy' (ref Leviticus 19:18). But I tell you: Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be sons of you Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that? And if you greet only your brothers, what are you doing more than others? Do not even pagans do that? Be perfect, therefoe, as your heavenly Father is perfect."

Having said that....Jesus was addressing believers. It is only by the indwelling of His Spirit within us that we are able to love as He loves.

We are also tod to "Be wise as serpants, innocent as doves." (sorry, I don't remember the book and chapter reference). To consistantly put oneself in the path of harm isn't wise. Turn the other cheek, indeed, but be wise enough to avoid physical confrontation when at all possible.

The bible definitely says it's ok to use Shaolin karate to defend yourself. All other means are sinful. I think it's in III Corinthians or II Acts.

I don't know exact verses, but we all know the story about turning the other cheek. In that passage, it says that if someone hits you, you are to turn the other cheek and let them hit the other. Obviously that's not meant to be taken literally, but in the sense that you don't hit them back. hope this helps, sorry I don't know the exact verse.
