I was dating and engaged to a "good" Christian girl from a missionary family. I caught her cheating on me and i forgave her. Twice. Then she got cought again and she got mad at me for catching her. Then she starts dating the guy she was cheating on me with and now all I hear from our friends is that she is telling everyone what a wonderful christian guy he is and he wants to be a pastor and blah blah blah. He knew she was taken, and it didn't matter. I have the proof, should i out them both. If that is what Christians do then I don't want to be a part of that. If God wants people like that then consider me a former christian. Would it be better for christianity to have the truth come out about them?

According to the bible and christianity, all us humans are sinful and are sorely in need of god's forgiveness and are unworthy of his grace. how can that be? I have committed no grave sin. for the most part, i live by the principle of doing no harm to others. I love my fellow man and believe in maintaining good will towards other human beings.

the bible lists things that are sins (adultry, greed, ......... etc) and i have to say, maybe i have at very few times in my life not completely been a perfect, PERFECT person, but i have done nothing where i would be in such a moral crisis that i would feel that i need the undeserved grace from god. Christians always talk like we are SO bad and that this is a mandate to believe in god's existence. Even if he is real, i have committed no harm or foul against god through free will to do "evil". I am a human being with a central nervous system and brain that contol my desires.

First, if you are reading this post to tell me about Jesus, leave me alone. If you are going to tell me to accept the lord, leave me alone. Do not post. According to your religion I am going to hell and there is no way you can save me...I will not believe in a story written 2,000 years ago that has a reasonable suspicion about it's credibility. Do not answer unless your answer is intelligent and helpful.

Now for the question:
As I understand it, people in The Matrix could do anything they want. For example, I am in The Matrix right now. It would be possible for me to fly if I believed I could fly. But I cannot believe it without doing it first, so it never happens. If I believed in it, it would be possible, correct? So let's go back a few years...I am 6 years old. I am standing on top of my dresser with a sheet thinking I am superman. I believe that I can fly, so I dive off of my dresser into the air expecting and truly believing that I will zoom off into the air. But instead...

If we all had the same mindset, same thoughts, how would we truly come up with new solutions.

How would the world be better if everyone thought exactly the same way?

A recent survey by sociology researchers that called over 2000 households and did in-depth interviews with many others showed that atheists are the most distrusted group above Muslims, recent immigrants, homosexuals, and other minority groups. They rated atheists below all the others as far as "sharing their vision of American society" and they were least willing to let their children marry atheists. I was just curious as to why atheists are so distrusted in American society today?

I know that it is wrong in the Catholic Church, but he is a non-denominational Christian and I am not sure how they view it. Also, is it different with him being a male (father) rather than being the female (mother)? I want to be as supportive as possible (to him and not the situation), but I just don't know what to do or say. He does not feel he is at a point in his life where he could support a child. This is twisting my stomach into knots.
Any advice would be appreciated.

WHO'S should be taught?

North American is not the real home of Christianity. Therefore schools everywhere will soon get a dose of Creationism, but each will be based on the traditional creation stories of Native tribes that originally inhabited the location of each public school.

These are the creation stories of belong with THIS land, so that is the correct way to do it, right?

Because I here many people say that saying god's name in vane and other silly/petty sins will result in hell for a person. My friend (who is christian) told me that if you believe in another religion besides the chosen one(I think he's babtist) then hell is your domain. If god is good moraly how could he do such a thing when the other person is just trying to do the right thing.
Oh I am agnostic.

I wonder if god dont accept bhudda, gandhi to heaven for not following islam or christianity. why people keep on saying there is only one god "allah", islam is only true religion, discourage other faiths, it seems idiotic, how they cannot reconize truth before their eyes.

I mean, worship at church is kinda distracting...

I know the Bible says not to forsake the assembly of others...

but I feel closer to God... by myself... in private away from distractions...

What about you?

Do you have any thoughts?

OK, first of all, I understand the term "cult" to refer to any religious group. But there seem to be lots of people on this site, particularly Christians, who label some groups as cults in a negative sense, and imply that members of such cults are going to hell.

There are many Christian websites with several pages devoted to cults. There are many books sold in Christian bookstores about cults. There is even a Christian radio program in my area that talks about cults every Thursday night.

It's like they're trying to incite hatred toward people who actually make society better. Often they say things about these cults that aren't even true. Why do they do this?

15 minutes ago, I asked a question that says, If the draft was brought back, and i was drafted, Could I get out of it If I said I wanted the enemy to win, And I am on there side?

The Majority of people answered saying i would goto jail for treason, How woudl i goto jail for having an opinion.

I have no rights to an opinion? I can not hope Who would win?

Why would i be charged with a crime for having an opinion?

Is it possible that the existence of the devil is being manifested currently and in the past couple years, pertaining to the priest scandals. What I'm saying is that maybe this children, and I'm not saying that these kids would ever lie, but maybe they were demoniacally possessed as to hide the second coming of Christ and to allow evil to exist further in the world. Has anyone else thought or read anything about this. I imagine so.

If we teach creationism in schools (I.E. the christian explanation of the earth's creation, and the origin of species), then shouldn't we teach everyone's hypothesis (Creationism is after all, not a theory, but less than that, a hypothesis)? I support teaching creationism in schools if we could also teach:

The Norse creation myth

The Islamic creation story/ies

The Greek creation myth

The various native american indian creation stories

The church of the flying spaghetti monster's creation story

and the creation story of the ancient Sumerians.

Come on, they're just as valid as creationism, they're all just hypothesises. So how about it? What do you think of my proposal?
