Because I here many people say that saying god's name in vane and other silly/petty sins will result in hell for a person. My friend (who is christian) told me that if you believe in another religion besides the chosen one(I think he's babtist) then hell is your domain. If god is good moraly how could he do such a thing when the other person is just trying to do the right thing.
Oh I am agnostic.

Yes he maid the universe that doesn't show as evidence for him being good. If I could make a universe I could just do it in a sense of peversion as to watch the people in it struggle(not that I would). So that doesn't prove that he has a strong sense of moralityand understanding of all things people and believes etc.

You also have no idea what god said he didn't walk up to you and say hi I'm god here are my opinions follow them. What most perseive as god's will is what they see from the bible. So I have a second question who wrote the bible = the answer no one knows.

Your friend is wrong, Jesus says he is the way the truth and the life. Nowhere does he say there is only one religion. Jesus also teaches that there are two ways to God, through him and judgement day. We all error or sin so it just seems prudent to have somebody on your side when you get to judgement day. Those who don't believe Jesus has that power will face God alone.

If your still hesitant to make a commitment, read the books in the Bible written by the men who walked in his shadow, commonly called his Deciples. matthew, mark, luke, john, Philipeans, Peter 1 and 2, and John 1, 2, 3. Not to be confused with the Apostles, which your friend is learning to be.

"Is God, good?"...?! Well, lets take a look at some of God's more hard-core followers, shall we? How many wars "in God's name" were there? About 50 or 60 of them, right? All of them together equating to an estimate of about 4 to 5 trillion deaths at least (God bless genocide?) and that's BEFORE the 1900's (when we actually have some somewhat accurate body counts). If God is as good and divine and righteous and truelly loves all of "her children", then there is no way in Hell (pardon the pun) that she would allow any of "her children" to be killed "in her name". Since there has never been any of this divine intervention then it leaves us with only two real possibilities. One, no, God is NOT good. And two, there is no God. After all, "Thou Shalt Not Kill", right?

God is good-but not like "storybook good"

God is Holy-perfect, powerfully pure.

God is Loving-in a personal individual way

God is also the creator of Justice-those who decide to live without Him in their lives, no matter how wonderful a job they try to do, they are still not good enough for a Perfect holy pure God. That's why people need a way to become pure in God's eyes.

That's why Jesus had to come and take the sins of the world upon himself-he was pure and could speak on our behalf before a perfect Judge (God)

Yes, God is good, and if you really want to understand it, ask Him to show you in honesty and without pride

Yes, God is good. Think about things at a deeper level. God created mankind. God (Allah) tells us in the Quran:
"I did not create the Jinn and mankind except to worship Me"
[Surah Ad-Dhariyat, 51:56]
If God created you, you are His. Surely He has the right to tell us to do what He wills?

Jesus says, "I am the way, the truth and the life, No one shall come to the Father, except thru Me" (John14:6) also says We MUST be born again (John 3:7)..
Its NOT about religion, its about having a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, knowing Him as your personal Lord and Savior.

Self righteousness is judgement. You are not your brothers keeper nor is he yours. God gave us freewill, he loves us no matter what fear based cold hearted haters of the Truth may want to force on those of a different belief. Be true to yourself. To thine own self be true and you will know God within you because that is where he is. Not in a church where fear is forced on the controlled sheeple, but all around us as we discover him totally within us.

He will be,if you're good to him and others. If you ask for forgiveness when you make mistakes, then I think that God has mercy.Right is right and wrong is wrong. It doesn't matter what denomination of religion someone claims to be.
