According to the bible and christianity, all us humans are sinful and are sorely in need of god's forgiveness and are unworthy of his grace. how can that be? I have committed no grave sin. for the most part, i live by the principle of doing no harm to others. I love my fellow man and believe in maintaining good will towards other human beings.

the bible lists things that are sins (adultry, greed, ......... etc) and i have to say, maybe i have at very few times in my life not completely been a perfect, PERFECT person, but i have done nothing where i would be in such a moral crisis that i would feel that i need the undeserved grace from god. Christians always talk like we are SO bad and that this is a mandate to believe in god's existence. Even if he is real, i have committed no harm or foul against god through free will to do "evil". I am a human being with a central nervous system and brain that contol my desires.

When I commit “sexual immorality,” it is not my soul that sins. My brain and central nervous system tell me that it would feel good; not a devil on my shoulder saying “go for it, man. This is way better that serving God.” When I am slightly selfish, it is not a cry from my soul “I love no one but myself.” It is my natural biological instinct to tend to think of my own welfare be the welfare of others. I have done no terrible sins in my life and the arbitrary things that could by some be called “sin,” they are all controlled by biological mechanisms in my brain and CNS. What have I done that I should feel pitiful and miserly for? I am human and act the way humans do. The way god created humans to act.

Amen.

You should not feel terrible, apparently Christians say you do?? Remind them Jesus told us not to judge.

Well thought out, I really enjoyed reading that,

You arent a bad person.....one thing there is no good in us, it is all from God. When we think We are doing these things we are putting ourselves before God and this in fact is a sin. Alot of things Christians like to leave out is that Gods love is so GREAT they couldt even understand it, and when we sin, and we all do he already knows we will. there are more to sinning than what you think, Do you forgive others?> if your sinned against 70000times a day you must forgive that many, just like God does us. Love your neighbor. I am not judging you and i dont exactly know where your coming from but there is no big little sin, you cant pick and choose. all you have to do is ask for forgiveness thats all, think jesus went though all that to say well forget it kid have no more grace for you, to me you sound as if you think you dont need God AT all....if thats the case then you are decieved, please dont take it the wrong way, just ive been there.
be blessed, and i will say a prayer before sleep tonight just for you! also following your brain and cns ...lol....are they Godly? if not its a sin and if you believe they arent a sin and dont need forgivness then yes you have no other choice then to reap what you sow. when this starts happening reflect on your passage.thats the biggest deception people beleive they dont need God, they are fine without him and can live a holy life...you must deny the flesh daily and walk in the spirit. and you cant do this by being human.

I suspect you have religion in your upbringing or current relationship...just a guess.
I was not raised religious but find it very fascinating how much power it has over the human condition.
Most religions control their subjects with fear. Fear of the devil and everlasting torment...and the brainwashing begins in early childhood.
Look at the number of priests who have done terrible things to children as a result of trying to suppress the natural urges men have. When human nature is suppressed it seems to find an outlet where it can, typically twisted from something healthy.
Love between two consenting adults is healthy....and so is sex.
There have been many different types of beliefs in history and our current religious belief system is bound to fail eventually. With all the monotheistic religions in the world, Jewish being the mother of them all, we must either adopt the idea that they are all derived from one God or we will continue to control the population explosion with war. If that is the solution a big one is coming. Not Armageddon...a logical end, a self prophetic fulfillment.
Stick that in your pipe and smoke it...especially if it feels good.

I will give you an advice.
God is not the author of confusion, like you see in the teachings of the Christians, they give so much importance to the story of the cross, who was witness of it, what really happen, before, during and after this event, and they forget about God completely.
All the teaching is about the lamb, the blood, the sin,.... so where is the message for humanity, for mankind?
is the message worship God alone? or is it just take it easy, Jesus died for your sins, just have fun !!!.
also too many mysteries, confusions,.....
would you spend all your life looking for the truth, mysteries...?
do you imagine yourself in the day of judgment with unresolved mysteries ? it would be too late at that time if you didn't know the truth now
I will explain this to you in a short story:

Well, human kind has what is known as original sin, the sin that we all inherit from Adam and Eve.

However, the current Catholic teachings have no longer condemned pre-marital sex, but have supported the use of condoms to prevent the spread of disease and prevent pregnancy. Stop feeling so bad, or guilty, or whatever it is your feeling and just live your life in a good manner and you'll be fine.

Your God is above any book that can be written by another man's hands. Your God is above any belief formed from any man's mind.

In all matters between your God and you...you're not accountable for the success or failure of anyone else, except YOU. If you owe your God something, it's because YOU owe it something.
