I desire peace, and would really like to know. Are preachers talking like that too?

My sister uses that vocabulary, and she is a member of a fundamentalist church in TN. Also many people in this forum seem to use that language.

I am delighted that Christians are pushing back on the premise of the question. However, here is an example of what I'm talking about from someone's previous question:

"Brothers of Christ, will you Unite as the Army of God ?

"Brothers we are the light of the world, thats from christ himself matthew 5:14. i say that united our light would be as a beacon to pierce throught the lies of the atheist and the darkness of Islam. A light to shine so brightly the the whole world may be lifted from his darkness, as it comes to know God The time is near my brothers Crusade!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! "

I really want to understand where this type of energy is coming from.

How many are "so many"? I don't know of any of my fellow Christians who are guilty of what you say they are.

I hope it is in regards to Spiritual Warfare, we can't be lax around our enemy the devil who seeks to devour.

It is not a physical one, it is Spiritual,

the way to fight Spiritually

Prayer,

Speaking God's word out (cos it never returns void)

Praising God (the power of praise has one actual physical battles without having to lift a sword ie. Joshua and the walls of Jericho, Jehosophat (2 Kings 21))

Unity amongst Christians (the gates of hell cannot prevail when the Church of God is united)

This is the way to peace, to tell the devil to nick off, and quit harrassing us and others who are searching for God.

Christians are followers of Christ he wasn't about war but peace.... the war he was concerned about (spiritual) was won when he died.

You are going to have to dial another number to get people to agree with you.
