Why is it some people fall down fast er than others? I was slain in the Spirit last night, and fell down even before the man truly laid hands and started praying.

It is claimed by Muslims that the (originally pagan) Black Stone of the Ka’aba, in Mecca, fell from the moon and landed at the feet of Adam and Eve in the garden of Eden. There is no historical or Biblical evidence for this belief. Obviously, unless it was taken aboard the Ark by Noah it would have been lost during the worldwide flood and so after the flood it could not have been identified from any other, ordinary piece of black rock. As there is no evidence for a black stone being taken on board the Ark, perhaps someone can explain,- - -
1. How anyone could possibly know that it fell at the feet of Adam and Eve?
2. What happened to it during the flood?
Please give evidence.

Being in this world its hard to love others for the love of God...
How do you love those around you that are jealous of u and feel as if u are a constant threat to their lives and family...yet u are never like that but you have no way out of this since they are in relation with u..so u cant just leave them nor be left alone.
If one doesnt love them , then wouldnt one be a hypocrit.
I have no way around this ...do you? does anyone??

My name being Christopher, of course. I've searched online and found sites that state my names means: "one who believes in Christ" and another said "one who is Christ-like."

But what the hell do either of those two meanings actually mean? Am I guaranteed a place in heaven alongside that invisible dude up there? Will I automatically be made a saint?

Mine is to love God and follow his commendments
, be reverent and teach others to be so, without being judgemental, and diligently fight against the godless worldview and heal those who have been afflicted under it.

If I have posted anything that has offended anyone, that was not my intention. I just want the world to know what I believe and that is that God doesn't want us to go in the direction we're going
and we must humble ourselves and He will heal our land.

I have had so many problems with elders and supposed friends and gossip. I have been away for about a year I fell in love with a non-witness we have known each other 3 years and I know he loves me. I don't think I should give him up because we would be unevenly yoked. I have had lots of bad things happen to me in this organization which drove me away in the first place..I feel that I have lost all hope.

seeing as the bible was written from the true word of god (supposedly) and he hasn't communicated to us since, surely we should revert back to that state, should we go back to ritual murders, unevolve even. Surely when the bible was written it was written by people who hadn't been corrupted as we have over time, shouldn't we stop believing what we think is right and simlpy believe what is written to be right.
Should we all destroy all traces of sin, alcohol, pollution etc, essentially everything that the modern world has developed and go back to our pure state as it was wen it was writen,
if this doesnt make sense, my bad pretty tired

1. a plaque with the 10 commandments on the wall
2. various bible verses on the walls, too
3. shelves and shelves of bibles
4. stacks of cd's full of hymns
5. stacks of cassette tapes of sermons
6. no tv or any other form of secular entertainment

why do you think they are neither taught or practiced??

2006-11-15 07:16:13 · 18 answers · asked by icheeknows 5

I mean do you really need "God" to tell you what's morally right or wrong. We all were born good people but life changes and some ppl have made good decisions and bad decisions and there are some ppl who have lost their identity and they are now in a very dark place in their life. But all of this is part of the human life and rather to deal with life and the rawness of it... instead of looking within ourselves some of us create this" being"this giant "being" and despite solid proven facts some ppl hold on to this "being".Im saying "you" because that person was me. When you are born you have everything that you will need for the rest of your life you just have to grow and develop.
Why do we need more than that isnt human nature better than some belief system. You are all the "god" you need you are real, life is hard&real, deal with reality.

I made the mistake of following up an answer given by a god-botherer, and I got the Bible out to see what it was all about.

Guess what - it's all true! Historically accurate, all the names correct, and it's quite fascinating when you get into it.

I read it all the way through to the final word - ZZ Top.

They've even got it all online now - www.bibleofpop.com

Atheists - try it - it could change your life!

do you believe G-D is forgiving?

if you believe G-D punishes...how?

Is there a time to make up for it?

do not break through and steal." (Matthew 6:20). Are these "treaures in heaven" rewards Christians earn for doing good works? I read about the "crown of rejoicing" in 1 Thessalonians 2:19. There is the "crown of righteousness" in 2 Timothy 4:8. We read about the "crown of life" in James 1:12. The "crown of glory" is referred to in 1 Peter 5:4. In Revelation 4:4, 10, we read about "crowns of gold."
However, in Romans 8:32 we read: "He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?" This suggests that having our sins washed away (salvation; redemption) is the Greatest Treasure that one cannot work for (Ephesians 2:8, 9). True?

This little Catholic boy asks his Mamma for a very expensive video game for Christmas. Mommy says,"I'm sorry son, but I can't afford it, but why don't you pray and ask Jesus for it"? The little boy goes to his room, unsure of how to start his prayer, and decides to write a letter to Jesus, instead. He starts off..."Dear Jesus, I've been a VERY good boy this year...."; but quickly crumples it up, as he knows that's not QUITE the truth. He begins again...."Dear Jesus, I've been PRETTY good this year"....once again he crumples it up, because in all honesty, he's been a REAL STINKER. So he goes into his mother's room, grabs her statue of Mary, shoves her in a paper sack and begins a 3rd time..."Dear Jesus...if you ever want to see your mother again...."LOL

I thought this was too precious...what do you think?
