If we were born "good", how are you defining what is "good"? The morals of Man change from time to time and culture to culture. In some places, gang rape is considered acceptable while others consider it a capital offense. To some people, stealing is acceptable while in others it is not. Also, what Man considers "good" or "moral" changes over time. It was once considered morally good to own slaves, now it is not. One group of people decided it was their moral duty to kill everyone of another group. That still happens today.
This is why I think we need a standard that is not set by the human mind, but by a higher power. That standard should be an absolute measure that does not change over time.
Finally, as a parent, I can tell you that I have proof positive that we are born with a fallen nature. Every one of my kids will start off doing the exact opposite of what I tell them to. I did not have to teach them to misbehave, they knew it from the first moment they selfishly screamed for attention.
Your idea is not a new one. New Ageism is really old paganism repackaged. But lets assume you are right for a moment that you are your own god. If so, then answer this for me; if you are god, why are you unhappy? Does it make yuo immune to unemployment, pain, death? What hope is there in an afterlife if you, the god, die?

I believe God created people to be good. We know what is right and wrong because it is innate in our being.
That does not change the fact that there is sin in our life, though. We still should to act "good", and yet we do not. God has been reaching out to make things different.
I don't know of any "solid proven facts" that contradict God's existance. And believing that "you are all the god you need" is a belief system in itself. Can you deal with that?

Multitude of opinions added to your original question, which seems to mean it's not really a question. But it is a good question.Do you have to teach a toddler to be selfish, or to share. Do children need to be taught to lie, or do they seem to know how on their own. Do schoolkids naturally do their own work, or do we have to set up systems to keep them from cheating? Do humans need to be taught to fight, and cheat, and hate, and hurt each other? NO! because our human nature is not naturally good.

People, as a whole, decide what is "good" and what is "evil". It's essentially popular opinion. I don't think we are born good or evil. I think we are born as pretty much blank slates, perhaps with tendencies toward certain reactions, but I don't think we are born knowing what our society is going to consider to be right and wrong. Not at all.

- Human nature is to do wrong. We all have trouble controlling simple thoughts in our own heads & even though we know what right is we still consider doing wrong, why?

We are not born good....you have to TEACH a child to do right....notice that they do wrong automatically......it's our fallen nature rearing it's ugly head.
