Why is it some people fall down fast er than others? I was slain in the Spirit last night, and fell down even before the man truly laid hands and started praying.

Only a pure heart (compassionate heart) can fall in love or get a broken heart.
You felt the spirit early because you are a loving person and you want to be loved.

I believe it depends on the depth that you are receptive to the power of the Holy Spirit. I was at a meeting awhile back, and some were receptive, and a certain young woman was not. I observed her eyes at that time, and she had torment in her eyes.
We talked for a while afterwards, and there was a certain unforgiveness in her, which was burdening her heart. She had a block -- unable to forgive herself. Therefore, she felt a wall between her and the power of God.

There isn't much evidence for modern slaying in the Spirit. To me it feels like self-hypnosis. I attended such a meeting, and decided that if God was going to do that, it would have to be definitive. I fought it all the way. Yes, I got a little woozy, but I stood firm. If it had really been God, I would have been flat on my back. Mind you, I WANTED it to happen, but I also wanted to be SURE.

They sure have your little mind in their big hands dont they? You are easily mislead. That never happened to you you "think" it did but then you dont know much about being human and refuseto accept your true nature. If your church is the way of god then why does it continue to change its rules and regulations?Did the word of god change? or maybe their just having a tougher time selling their spiritual pipe dreams
