>>>seeing as the bible was written from the true word of god (supposedly)
This is a half truth. The Bible was written in human language with human limitations, inspired and superintended by God. Historical and cultural influences must be taken into consideration. The Bible was written by many people spanning several centuries. All the Holy Books were finally agreed on and put together by the Catholic Church in 397 AD. Any bible college student knows that.
>>>and he hasn't communicated to us since, surely we should revert back to that state, should we go back to ritual murders, unevolve even.
God has not left us orphans, and He did not say, "Here's a book, you are on your own." He gave us a teaching Church that cannot make mistakes on faith and morals. Yes, many Church leaders have sinned, but that does not mean the teachings have been wrong. If teachings of the Church just come from men without the Holy Spirit, then Jesus lied. He promised He would be with us until the end of time, or He is a liar. If you take an overview of history of the past 2000 years, without Christianity, there would be no civilization. We might still be under Roman rule.
>>>Surely when the bible was written it was written by people who hadn't been corrupted as we have over time, shouldn't we stop believing what we think is right and simlpy believe what is written to be right.
This has been tried and failed. That is why there are thousands of churches, each claiming to be right about what is written. When you rip the Bible out of the Church that gave it to you, it is no longer an inspired book.
>>>Should we all destroy all traces of sin, alcohol, pollution etc, essentially everything that the modern world has developed and go back to our pure state as it was wen it was writen,
Sanctifying grace is the state that Adam and Eve enjoyed before they sinned. It is possible to be in this state, sharing in God's very divine life. Regeneration and transformation is NOT being a snow covered poop pile, but an internal cleansing, and growing in holiness. Jesus did not die on the cross so we could be white-washed sepulchers, justified by faith without love.
Jesus is the Bread that came down from heaven. Why? Because He said so.
Jesus is the Bread of Life. Why? Because He said so.
Jesus said "Take this and eat it, this is My Body" Why do we eat His Flesh? Because He told us to.
Is there any place in the Bible where Jesus and the consecrated Bread and Wine are separate and different from His ONE BODY?
Nowhere.
my bad pretty tired too

Have you read the Gospels? Or the New Testament? Maybe even the prophets of the Old Testament?
If you have, you'd know that God doesn't really want burnt offerings and such. He really wants people to change their ways and do good in the world. It's summed up as "Do Justice, Love Kindness (mercy on some translations), and Walk Humbly with you God".
Many of the things we have today were created for the glory of God. Things came about because of such writings.
And when did the bible ever say we should get rid of alcohol? You do know that's what they drank at the time, right?
Pollution? Yes, of course we should get rid of that. God's creation is beautiful and good and putting garbage on it is never good.
Sin? Yes, get rid of sin. Sin isn't necessarily from the modern world. If you read the bible, you'd know that there was sin since Adam and Eve and that even then the world was not pure.

The Bible is the Word of God. He wrote it to benefit us all. If you go out and buy a blender, for example, it comes with an owner's manual, right? Hopefully, that manual was written by the maker of the blender, the person or company who knows better than anyone how to properly use the blender. God is our maker, so it would be reasonable to assume that He would provide us with an "owner's manual", so to speak, to help us navigate through life.
Gandhi is widely quoted as once saying that if all the countries in the world could follow the commands Jesus Christ laid out in the Sermon on the Mount, there would be peace. If we could all follow ALL that the Bible has to say, then yes, we would not find ourselves in the sad state of affairs we are in now.
As a side point, I am confused as to why you brought up alcohol as a sin. Jesus turned water into fine wine as his first miracle, and the Apostle Paul told Timothy to use "only a little wine for the sake of his stomach.’—1 Timothy 5:23. It is drunkenness, and the gross overuse of alcohol that is the sin.

Yes the Bible is the Word of God, but God has not stopped communicating with us. I have seen and heard Him, myself. There are still Prophets and Apostles today.

Tomyu,
What you don't understand, or what you may not want to understand is that God does communicate to us now. He communicates to us through the written word, and the word that is preached at church. If you would just open up your heart, you would be able to hear him speaking to you.

If you truly believe in God and seek him and trust him and give your worries and concerns to him. Then you would see GOD talks to all of us everyday. It"s just we have chosen not to listen!
A child asked GOD why is there so much violence and anger at my school? GOD answered I DON"T KNOW I"M NOT ALLOWED AT YOUR SCHOOL ANYMORE! whats wrong with this picture?
