I just was curious. It is the "dominant" religion where I live (SC), I was wondering if it was the main practiced religion in other areas. I know other cultures practice different religions, but how many people are Christians?

is there no alternative.
I saw a t.v special how the gov. uses chimps for research.
We use mice for eye experiments.
I know in our past that we use animals for everything.
Because we have the right,WHAT gives us the right.
If I see a bug crawling on the floor, does that automatically give me the right to kill it.
I just can't get the images out of my head, from watching t.v shows about it.
I understand humans have more value then animals, but at what cost.
Does the means always justify the ends.

Must one agree with EVERYthing? Are there some things that one can disagree about, and still be able to convert? What are the fundamental beliefs that one must agree with to be "eligible"?

I was told by one christian gentleman that the day is coming when he and all the other christians will fly away with Jesus into the heavens and all the non christians would be stuck on the earth with the worst of people and satans son antichrist. I asked him if he believed this story and he swore he really was waiting for this day. What is your opinion of this rapture event that the christians believe in? If any one believes in this rapture belief could you share why you believe this amazingly unbelievable story. thank you

The Virgin Mary was 13 years old when she gave birth to her son Joshua (Jesus). That makes her 12 when she conceived. Hmmmm does that make God a paedophile ?
Mahummad was an old man when he consumated his marriage to a 9 year old little girl, seems a little young, doesn't it.
Then we have all these priests & preachers interfereing with little boys & girls.
It seems to be a trend.

Quran 9:29 "“fight (jihad) those who believe not in allah” http://cwis.usc.edu/dept/msa/quran/009.qmt.html

I have spoke to many Muslims about this genocide aya (verse) in the Quran. Some Muslims tell me "so what? why question allah". Other Muslims say "this is in wartime". Of course, you have even others who say "thats out of context" or "bad translation".

What interesting is, I have never ever met a Muslim who agreed that "any religion, which demands its followers to fight people simply because they dont yet believe, must be false". Why is that? Will any Muslims type that out in here and make me a fool or are you afraid to contradict the genocide command in the Quran?

SO SIMPLE, JUST TYPE OR COPY AND PASTE -- "I am Muslim. Of course, any civilized educated person would immediately reject any religion which commands its follower to fight or murder people simply because they dont believe. Hows that jerk. See, I made you a fool."

The believer will say this prayer for 7 years before it will come true. Why 7 years? I understand that God doesn't interfere with our free will. How come there're many ordinary people who are blessed with more than they're asking for and fall in love with each other whereas there;re also many lonely ordinary people who ask for very little and can't find love and therefore they need to pray over it -according to christian beliefs. Why're there people who're lucky enough to find their soul mates and there're healthy people who cannot even find a life partner?

Please note that: I'm excluding the sick, the disabled and those with sexual dysfunction or intimacy problems.

I mean, if you're right and all the Christians are wrong nothing happens to us. But if we are right and you are wrong.... man, will it suck for you.

I know I'm going to get a bunch of smart aleck responses, but I figure at least one of you guys has put some serious thought into this question and I'd like to hear your answer.

I'm not even a christian, but I was just listening to this fellow on hannity & colmes tell me how jesus was black. i'm sure there's a good argument for that. but, when i hear it, i ask myself this question:

Isn't one of the requirements of being the messiah of the jewish people, um, being jewish?

so, someone, explain a few of the theories ppl have reached on things they can't possibly know.

it is o.k and they use the part where Abraham lies about Sarah being his sister and not his wife. They say if the ends justifies the means it is ok. So does that mean they can tell lies to get people to join their Temple because then they would have just means?

If we don't live by the laws of the old testament then how can being Gay be sin when we eat hoofed animals which is a sin according to the old testament? Didn't Jesus come and say we are saved by Grace, he didn't say only Str8's are saved by grace. I'm saved and am Gay. So why do most religious people still think being Gay is a Sin. Not being Saved is a Sin, what about a Saved Gay person that lives by Jesus's word and not the old Testament. Jesus never said being Gay is a sin.

God tortures non-Christians just like the Nazis, and God is all-powerful so don't talk about Satan when God allows Him to exist in the first place. If you support a righteous God then you wouldn't take the Bible literally.

Okay, this is from Christians who preach their religion to others or critize other people`s beliefs. Doesn`t it say in the Bible that you should do onto others as you would have them do onto you? (thats is not a rhetorical or sarcastic question, I really don`t know for sure.) If it does then tell me, would you want people to put down your religion? Would you like to have a Satanist come and preach to you? Would you like to have ANYONE preach a different religion to you? If your answer is no, then please tell me how you justify preaching and putting down other religions. Don`t be offened if this doesn`t apply to you. I understand that it doesn`t apply to EVER Christian; this was a question for the ones that it does apply to. If you say that it is because your religion is correct, here`s my next challenge: Can you prove it? Do you have anymore proof than other religions?

Scientific evidence seems to reveal the only thing common to man is a legend of the flood, which is evidence for the Bible being allegoric; But scientific evidence also seems to reveal there never was a world wide flood, which is evidence against taking it literal.

I'm favoring allegoric mystery, but not to make the Bible invalid.
