I was told in the catholic church that there's a pre-written prayer for the singles who want to find a mate.

Question

The believer will say this prayer for 7 years before it will come true. Why 7 years? I understand that God doesn't interfere with our free will. How come there're many ordinary people who are blessed with more than they're asking for and fall in love with each other whereas there;re also many lonely ordinary people who ask for very little and can't find love and therefore they need to pray over it -according to christian beliefs. Why're there people who're lucky enough to find their soul mates and there're healthy people who cannot even find a life partner?

Please note that: I'm excluding the sick, the disabled and those with sexual dysfunction or intimacy problems.

In any search engine type catholic prayer+find mate - to find others. Frankly, I think this is a conspiracy amongst mothers and is not a real prayer.

Dear Heavenly Father, Who said, "It is not good that the man should be alone," I come to you asking for help to find my life partner.

I pray to You for guidance, for I am Your child, and You are my loving and heavenly Father.

As I seek to assume my place in life and fulfill my mission, I long to share my love with another, to establish a home and to raise a family.

In Your tender mercy direct me to a companion who will appreciate me and requite my love. I do not want to be alone, but would prefer to share my joys and sorrows with a beloved mate - one of my faith and my way of life.

Hear my prayer for the sake of Him who blessed marriage by His presence during His ministry on earth. Amen.

I was born, raised and educated in the Catholic Church and believe me if there was a prayer for singles to find a mate there would be no single Catholics. LOL

Theres no such prayer God will answer a prayer at his will not ours... sometimes God gives to those who don't ask for it and sometimes he lets those who want for it ask for it more he knows when the time is right.
