The middle.
Life was the beginning. What comes after death is the end. So death is the middle.

There is no beginning nor is there end. Krishna said to Arjuna in Ch. 2 of the Bhavagad-Gita "Never was there a time when you or I did not exist, nor will there be a time when we cease to be." At the end of this life, we simply are reborn until we finish our quest on this material world. You see, we are all spiritual beings, but we rebelled and were sent here. Now we have to return to our original conciousness in order to escape the four miseries: birth, disease, old-age and death. it will be the end of this present life and the beginning of eternal existence. The real question is, where will you be spending an eternity? let me ask you a few questions...........
Have you ever lied (even once--fibs, white lies, etc.)? Ever stolen (anything--the value is irrelevant)? Jesus said, "Whoever looks upon a woman to lust after her, has committed adultery already with her in his heart." Have you ever looked with lust? If you have said "Yes" to these three questions, by your own admission, you are a lying, thieving, adulterer at heart; and the Bible say's "he who hates his brother is a murderer." have you ever hated someone? If you have said yes to these questions, by your own admission your a lying thieving Murderer at Heart and thats How God wil see you on the day of Judgement. Bearing in mind that Nothing you’ve ever done is hid from His holy eyes. Will you be innocent or guilty on the Day of Judgment? Listen to your conscience. You know that you will be guilty, and therefore end up in Hell. That’s not God’s will. He provided a way for you and I to be forgiven.
He sent His Son to take our punishment: "God commended His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." He was bruised for our iniquities. Jesus then rose from the dead and defeated death.
Your own so-called “goodness” can’t get you into heaven any more than mine could. Jesus is the only way to Heaven. He is the "Door," the only "mediator." There is salvation in no other name, and If you wil repent (turn from sin) and place your faith and trust in Jesus, God will then forgive you of al your sins and grant you the gift of eternal life.
God Bless

Death marks a moment of change. It's the defining point between "this life" (the physical one) and the "after life" (the spiritual one).

The end...here on earth is hell when you die we all hope we go to a better place but the truth about it is there's no better place. It's like telling kids there's Santa and tooth fairy, it's just something for adults to believe.
