With regards to Mr. Haggard, who was in fact outted by the gay sex industry worker/drug salesman whom he was having an affair with... this man said he had to speak out against Haggard because of the hypocrisy of Haggard's message of hate against gays....

So seriously, what is the world coming to when we must concede the moral high ground to a Gay Drug Pusher over an Evangelical Pastor?!?!?!?!?!?!

I know that the Bible says not to have premarital sex. I'm all for that! But what does the Bible say about all the other stuff? Like.. hands and oral?

Osama Bin Laden is a terrible terrorist and all (real) Muslims are against him. He has been codemned by all main Muslim leaders (though this is under reported on the media)
And Muslims have gone on demonstrations against terrorism (but again these are under reported)

hi

i used to be (maybe still am) a Catholic but the more I look at life I only see that you can succeed no matter how bad a person you are through your will power. my question is where is the help from God for the people who are in pain. Isn't it all just about the will power and not God. i fear i'll become an atheist; i just can't believe the world is as it is. i can understnad some trials we go thru' but sorry, there are things beyond my comprehension

I checked out a book..Jesus Freaks..and it said how horrible the Muslim religon treated the Christians and even killed their own familt if they turned to Christianity! Is this true? I am a Christian and I have a Musilm friend and she is nice! Does it really say in the Quran they they will kill all the infidels ( Christians?)

"Jesus saved us all by dieing for our sins"

But how die Jesus's death "save" us? What difference did it make? What would have happened had he not died on the cross (eg say he escaped from his executioners, ran off, lived his life and died of old age) would the planet have exploded or something?

This is a serious question based upon some of the answers I've been getting to a couple of other questions. I have been reading sistani.org (a person claiming to be a "Grand Ayatollah") and questions came up. One person said that that site only speaks for a small minority and that it's not "true Islam". at lunch my friend suddenly asked me if i was Jewish and i told her i was but how did she guess that. she said i looked Jewish because she has another Jewish friend and we look sort of similer. i told her some stereotypes of what a Jew 'looks like' and i only have some of them. what could she mean? how would i look Jewish?

And i've already had my 1st communion. the thing is, everytime i go to church I don't know what to do.

basically, i stand and sit repeatedly. I don't know the whole ritual thing, i haven't memorized what is supposed to be memorized and i don't know like anything else.

I love god and jesus christ and i believe, i just don't like going to church because i'm embarrassed about not knowing the ritual and i just stand there and watch everyone do their little hand things and say their stuff. i feel like a retard.

so are there any websites out there that will teach me what is needed to know about the catholic church??

Basically, the theory of evolution states that very slowly, through genetic mutation, species will change. I don't see anything about religion in there. I can see where it would be at odds with a literal interpretation of Genesis, but past that...
