My mom unfortunately took her own life at age 39. Is she in heaven?

I thought I'd better add that this happened in 1964 when I was 15 years old. Long ago...but I still think about her and miss her. She was a great mom to me.

I am not christian so cant answer in the way you wish
but love to you and i am so sorry to hear about your mother
and i do not feel that anyone ill and so run down with life will get anything but the love and help they deserve when they pass to their next life
I am sure God knows her mind and how she felt , how she could not cope any more and how she was not thinking right
God doesnt judge as harshly as some people

Suicide is not the Unpardonable Sin.
With out any more Info., I can only say This.
GOD can Reach People in the Last Seconds of Life on this Earth.
GOD is Over Time and can Expand it, giving People Time to get Saved.
I NEVER Write-Off Anybody--GOD is the Great Judge.
Except for the People GOD let "Visit" Hell, so they could come back and Tell Everyone Else to Not Go There, I only Know of ONE Person that is There, "The rich Man" in the Parable in the Bible.
Other than that, I don't know of a Soul that is in there. So I am Believing that Everybody Else is in Heaven.
We need to Get There Too, So we can See Them Again!
Very sorry to hear this.
May GOD Bless you Very Much, in the Name of Jesus.

Some would tell you that suicide sends a person to hell, but I don't believe that. I happen to know of a man who wondered just such a thing about his father, and years down the road he received a word from the Lord saying that his father was in heaven. Only God can judge, but I believe Jesus died for all of our sins, the ones we've done and the ones we will do.

Spiritual progress is not aided or goes faster by the death process. What we fail to learn here and now must be learned hereafter. Remember, suicide can not kill God's idea. It is a human mistake because people believe it is the answer to a problem. Truth will show all people their mistakes. It is similar to not being able to finish school if you drop out, and life is the same way. We all must do the work here or hereafter. Your mom is busy living and doing her work. God's idea is not subject to death.

I'm sorry to hear this - words can't really do justice to such a tragedy.

Only God knows the answer to this.

I have heard of people having near death experiences and having a visitation from Jesus right before they were declared clinically dead giving them a chance to repent. This one guy in particular was given a choice of living or dying but he chose to come back and testify to others about the truth of Jesus because he had been a skeptic all his life.

We can never answer these questions fully. Talk to God about this in prayer.

It depends on the sect. I was told that people who commit suicide spend the after life in purgatory. Who knows if this is really true. Pray for her. I have also heard that prayers will release her to heaven.

I dont know.

But I think it is best for you to assume the best. She is in heaven.

I would say not to worry about it either way, If she is in heaven, she is there for a reason, if she is in hell, she is there for a reason, and either way, when you die , it will be revealed to you. and you will agree.

( the last statement assumes there is an afterlife, and also that truth will be revealed fully, and since it is truth, you would not have negative feelings towards it, but instead complete acceptance and understanding. )

We can all judge suicides....but who really knows the answer...I am a Christian and believe what the bible says about 1 unforgivable sin...and it is not taking ones own life....I don't know about the state of her salvation...(do any of us ever really know what is between us and God)....but I know that God knew her heart, her weaknesses and her strengths and if she was a child of God's, He welcomes all of His children home.

Only God knows. And honestly, my heart goes out to you too. Such a sad, tragic thing to happen. I hope you will find someone to talk to about this. I am truly sorry for your loss.
