It's something about the facial features, most notably, the shape of the nose. It's basically an Israelite appearance; I don't think it makes a lot of sense to say that, "S/he looks like a Jew!" However, most of those who appear to be Israelites do turn out to be Jewish.

There are a few tiny things that some people pick up on. It's not always the obvious stereotypical features. Sounds crazy but sometimes it's something about shape of the nostrils, not always the shape of the nose as a whole. A certain curve to the lips, a lot of times it's more noticeable when the person is talking. The area around the eyes. Obviously not all Jewish people have these traits and many non-Jews have them as well. It's better to say that a lot of Jewish people happen to have these traits rather than saying all Jews fit a particular stereotype. I've found most of my Jewish friends have very tiny things in common with each other that they don't have in common with most of my non-Jewish friends. If you're looking for it you're more apt to notice.

Jews don't all look the same because there are blond Jews (look at Scarlet Johannson!), brunnette Jews, red-headed Jews, tall, short, skinny, etc. But there are some within the group who have a "common look" that all other groups have as well that many have distinguished as being Jewish. It's not a bad thing, so don't be offended. Jews are cool in my book.

There is not one Jewish look; Judaism is not a race, it is a way of life. Jews come in all colors and shapes.

Jews as a race have some common characteristics. I know some people whose hobby is to spot jews by their physical appearance.

Well as long as you're a purebred Jew, you are basically part of a different race with certain physical traits more widely exhibited in it.

There is no ''Jewish look''. I see them red hair/freckles, blond hair, blue/green eyes, dark hair and eyes, light complexion, and olive tones. There is no ONE look.

People use to say I looked Jewish-----I was not. But, I later converted to Judaism-----and, not because of my looks.

Dark hair and eyes. Large nose. Hairy arms, and probably hairy elsewhere... No bra. Bushy hair/eyebrows. Often dont wear makeup.

Sorry - those are just stereotypes!
