With regards to Mr. Haggard, who was in fact outted by the gay sex industry worker/drug salesman whom he was having an affair with... this man said he had to speak out against Haggard because of the hypocrisy of Haggard's message of hate against gays....

So seriously, what is the world coming to when we must concede the moral high ground to a Gay Drug Pusher over an Evangelical Pastor?!?!?!?!?!?!

Nice PC way to describe the guy, by the way. Drug salesman!

Um, I don't know that it's anything new.

There have always been the stereotypes of the hooker with the heart of gold. Belle Watley (GWTW), Mary Magdalene, etc. The point being that even the lowest of the low can sometimes demonstrate a streak of morality. Just because you're bad in one way doesn't mean you're rotten thru and thru....

I think it says more about them than it does about the "good" guy. There have always been and always will be those in positions of power who abuse it. You know the saying - absolute power corrupts absolutely. Well, I'm not sure that this dude had absolute power, but it sounds like he had some. Not to mention a really bad upbringing (I'm assuming he was raised in his current faith).

If he had been raised in a less fundy religion, or perhaps with more forgiving, loving parents, he might not have had to struggle to repress his natural instincts. Instead, he might have been a perfectly happy gay man doing his thing.

All this is surmise, of course. I don't actually know squat about him.

We are learning that it is simply to put one over large religious congregations, where the individual can get lost in the crowd, and where someone of power can be doing something immoral without being noticed.

In the JWs it would have been noticed, not that anyone would have seen the actual activity, but it would have affected their other activities, such as their house to house work, and that would have been noticed. An elder would have talked to him to learn what was wrong and if something was happening in his life that was affecting his faith.

Of interesting, Haggard was able to keep on his daily activities, without anyone noticing a problem. Either he always lacked complete faith in his work and he had become good act faking it, just as Jesse Jackson did, or the organization lacked any form of oversight in making sure members where living according to the teachings of Christ.

Now let's see if he will be treated differently than Jackson, in the long run.

I have given this some thought myself. Actually that dude says he wanted to expose the hypocrisy so he must have a conscience of some sort, he couldn't keep a secret, and/or he thought he might get something out of exposing it. His actions do not necessarily mean he is on morally high ground, I'd say maybe some sort of middle ground. His association with drugs and gay behavior tell me more about his character. The thing is there are temptations and we succumb, we can be weak. The lesson: the power of temptation.

Daniel 11 tells of the coming of the last days, and Daniel 12, tells what the last days will bring about and be like.
Daniel 11:1-5 happened in 1979. Daniel 11:6 to end of 11 tells of whats going on right now in the mid east between Israel and arabs.
The Lord's return to the world is very very soon.
Be ready

-.- heavily, when I have been given to renowned that folk relatively think of the worldwide might bring about 2012, I laughed out loud. I advise, we base our ideals on movies and works of fiction now? OR the author or the exhibit screen wright has some form of psychic capacity? besides, definite, i think of the worldwide is coming to an end quicker or later. because of the fact what's use of our life if the worldwide won't end and all of us get provided or punished for what we've achieved in the time of our lives? Our life isn't a interest, i think of. God made us to make the worldwide greater suitable, like a attempt and the outcomes ought to come when you have complete.. in certainty, the outcomes won't be able to pop out different than after your dying, because of the fact you have a sparkling threat each and every new 2nd you bypass. nicely, that's what i've got faith in and artwork in accordance to which in the time of my existence. yet i think of it relatively is outstanding that somebody your age is thinking those issues... it relatively is relatively inspiring to make certain that.

Do not be shocked to hear of false religions and "unholy" holy people. This IS the world, and after a period of time, each person wants to escape from it, and so the first steps to finding truth are taken. This world has already come to what it is, namely the untruth.
