Each religion uses different names for the almighty creator of this world. If we think logically, is there any possibility that there are more that one GOD? So can we say that all the name of GODS mentioned in the different religious books (ALLAH, LORD, JEHOVA etc.) designate the same power?? If it is true so why there is so much hate between religions??

I am a 26 year old confirmed Catholic. My family never really went to church, but I was sent to Catholic school for a few years. I had and maybe still have an issue with some of the church's policies and treament I and my family have received over the years. For instance, my Mom couldn't find a Priest to baptise me until I was 3 because I was born out of wedlock. (Why should I be punished for that?) My grandmother couldn't get an anullment from an abusive husband, while others around her "bought" a church divorce. I wanted to be an alter girl, but I was told girls are not allowed. I could go on, but I won't. So, I haven't been to church or confession since I was 12. I have had a change of heart. I want to attend church and be absolved.

However, I take birth control pills purely for medical reasons only. I have a condition and this is the only course of trament available that can prevent me from lots of pain, many minor symptoms and permanment damage. Is this a sin?

Islam can unite Jews and Christians because:

1. Accoring to the Quran, Jesus was not killed, therefore, Christians and Jews do not need to argue over this.

2. The Bible has predicted that people will be directed to one path, or one direction or one language in Zephania 3:9:
For then will I turn to the people a pure language, that they may all call upon the name of the Lord, to serve him with one consent."

And Islam is the only religion where 1.5 billion people learn and speak Arabic and turn their face to one direction: Kaaba.

3. Moses is mentioned more than any other Prophet in the Quran and there is redemption for Jews if they come back to the One faith.

4. Prophet Muhammads name has been mentioned in the Songs of Solomon in original as 'mahmad' which is translated to 'altogether lovely' in english. Muhammad actually means someone who has been praised.

I'm not a native English speaker, so please forgive any mistakes I might make. My life has been a mess, and I want to turn my life around. What I decided to do is treat others as I want to be treated. However, I'm unsuccessful in doing so when people show me no respect. Also, I sometime forget to do what I have to do, that is treat people nicely. Does anyone have any suggestions?
