If there are religions with other Gods (Hindu perhaps), who answers the prayers of those people?
People who are Christian obviously get some sort of fulfillment from their prayers... else, they wouldn't pray very much.
I can't imagine a religion lasting very long without the followers getting the same sense of fulfillment from their prayers.

You have seen them on the fourm. those who spend all day asking question to insult or humor themselves. When believers only answer in postive ways or scriptures does it bug you?
(Oh, I am a christain and these questions are a waste of time)

I had a vision the other day that was so stark and vivid I swear it was supposed to mean something. I have had similar experiences like this in the past, so I am familiar with symbolism in visions. But this has me really stumped.
I saw a tree sitting alone in a pasture. It was a big tree, with lots of leaves on it, and there was fruit on it, but I don't know what kind. As the fruit was getting ripe, it started falling off the tree and disappearing. Then the tree started turning black, from the bottom up. It was a charcoal black, like the tree had been burned, but I saw no flames or smoke. When the tree was completely black, the vision ended.
Here's the weird part; I called my brother and told him about it, he said he also had visions of a burning tree. Can anyone help me with the interpretation?

This mole was the physical proof that Muhammad was a prophet according to Tabari and other later Muslim authorities. While such ideas can be found in pagan traditions from many primitive cultures, it is not a part of theBoth the Bukhari and Muslim Hadiths describe what happened to Muhammad when inspiration came upon him. He heard ringing in his ears, fell to the ground, turned red, sweated profusely, made moaning sounds, spit ran from his mouth, etc. While ancient pagans placed a great deal of importance on such things, they were never a part of the biblical prophets.
religion of Abraham, the prophets, the apostles or Jesus.
He commanded that anyone who fell away from Islam should be murdered. (Bukhari vol IV, no. 260; vol. V, no. 630) Volume IX is filled with death threats against apostasy (pgs. 10,11, 26, 34, 45, 50, 57, 341, 342). He kissed and caressed the idol of black stone set into the wall of the Kabah. I was thinking more of peyote ingestion by native Americans and handling of venomous serpents by Bible bashers, rather than what the Catholics get up to with the choir boys.

From the perspective of an atheist, listening to a believer, on whether God exists.

1. Which God? Christian, Hindu, Jewish, Buddha, etc.
2. Which sect (assume Christian): Catholic, Methodist, Calivinist, Lutheren, Episcopal, many others, etc.

Note: the atheist is justifiably skeptical right now. In their mind, all these choices, and I as a believer made the right choice, and everyone else is wrong.

3. The Bible. The fact is that many books were written, and few were chosen. How do they as a skeptic know they were the right books to select.

4. Dogma and doctrine that is developed by people to decide what the Bible meant and what the specific religion is. More faith.

When looked at this from an atheists standpoint, thru their eyes, it seems absurd. The believer is many faith steps away from God. They are right, and others are wrong. The atheist is still at step 1. No wonder we argue and never get anywhere.

Step 1, "Why did the universe start, suddenly?

"Jesus said He who has sent me will come again, His name will be Truth, He will wear a red robe, He will be short with a crown of hair"

Thanks
