I heard someone talking about God bringing about a Paradise...Where in the bible does it say this?

Matthew 16:18-19 says that Jesus himself told Peter that
"you are Peter; and upon this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven. And whatsoever you shall bind upon earth, it shall be bound also in heaven."

Since Peter went to Rome and became the head of the Catholic church based on Jesus' words, and all other Christian denominations were started by some regular guy or another (not even an apostle), doesn't it mean non-Catholics are defying what Christ himself ordered?
How can you believe the Bible is God's word, then ignore specific parts of it?

My life watch is always running, running. Always forward, never backwards. You can't go back in time! Can´t change it! Cruel, right? Life slips away. I can't set it back. Then, you stop, look, listen....and see everything was worthless, a waste of time.

Have you vere felt like that? What do you do then? Sometimes I wish my life watch would stop

Christians...I am a christian...But WHY do you have to be so intolerant to homosexuals, other beliefs and people that are against your beliefs?

The Judeo-Christian God is anti-magic (although the exception could be argued about the Witch of Endor in the OT). Yet the Bethlehem "star" was shown only to them in the East (it is believed they were from Persia) and the shepherds in the Bethlehem area. What would cause Magi to come to a distant land and how would they know of Jesus and that he was a king to worship and give gifts to simply by following the celestial body? Unlike everyone else in the Bible, God never commands them to repent of their ways. He even warns them against Herod. What makes them special that they escape his wrath and instead win his favor for something that would cost anyone else their life?
