Recall that one of the religious truths found in the book of Genesis is that the earth is entrusted by God to humans to be its caretaker. What do you think being a caretaker means? What does being a caretaker of the earth involve? Do you think, in general, that we are goind a good job of taking care of th earth? Explain. Discuss some things you can do personally to take care of the earth?

i've attended a mormon church now for a little over three months now. i had researched the church through for months before i started attending the church with a friend and his family. About a month into going regularly, people would always tel me in conversation that they thought that i was a lifelong member when i started coming because i participated so actively and i knew so much about the church. at the time people didn't really expect me to know anything. i started taking lessons with the missionaries about a month ago and they were also surprised that i already knew almost everything in the lessons. lately, though, i'm finding that people expect me to know everything about the church, and i certainly don't. i still have a lot to learn. i know most of what people ask me and i think i have a very good understanding of everything. if you were a lifelong member attending church with me, what would you expect a fourteen year old investigator who is getting baptized soon to know?

Here I mean partnerships like Christian/Jew, etc. Are you married? Have children? In what religion do you raise your kids? For those not married, how do you discuss these issues to be in the future? Which two religions do you both belong?

Ya know, I have read the Bible, I have read where it says, GOD is the One who decides who will follow, or believe, in Him or not.
Now I know I will get a lot of...well He is not real anyway...But if someone can explain this to me, as a believer...
He is the Potter I am the Clay...SOVEREIGN LORD...
He is SOVEREIGN, yeah so...what ,we need some good and some bad?
A little yin and yang?
So if He decides to put it my heart to believe in Him and not in anothers; then is He gonna put another in Hell for not believing, even though it was HIS choice to put the belief in someone or not.
See that part of the SCRIPTURES is quite confusing....
That is one reason why I may want to choose to read and perhaps accept the ...Say for example THE APOCOLYPSE of PETER...Of the books left out of the original CANON.
He asked God how HE can Condemn some to Hell. and God answered, THIS IS TO BE SEALED UP, but ya know I will destroy hell and free those who are there, later.
HMMMMM

Is it forgiveness from a pastor (like in Christian) is relevant? What do you see if a murderer, who just killed a little children went to the pastor and ask for his forgiveness? Is it just as easy as that? No punishment? Is it actually a matter of God?

Ok, I am familiar with the books of the bible. About 73... And Christians say these were written by men that had the holy spirit in them while written. Then, there are in history, proof of h Naustic gospels, said to be books not written by men gifted by the holy spirit (the da vici code...) But there is some amazing stuff, like in one of the naustics, it is predicted that a great fire bird will crash into towers (september 11) So, why do christians not like the naustics, and why are they not part of the bible?

*** Oh yeah, can someone tell me about wehn was the bible written and finished?***

I have full faith in an all powerful, all seeing super power named Bob.

I have followed the path of Bob since I was a toddler, followers have followed the teachings of Bob since 1563 when people witnessed amazing, supernatural acts by Bobs' son....Bill.

Bill could cure sick people with simple plants, and could kill invisible beasts that hid in the water.

Bill wrote a book, about himself, and his all mighty father Bob, and why I we should follow him.

And since the day I was born I've had totally faith in bob

Homosexuality being evil. What is the point, I don't mean simply it's in the bible, but why. I know that killing is wrong, not because it's in the bible but because it takes something away from another... their life. But what does homosexuality do, it doesn't take away anyone else's rights, if some man feels they love a man more they have that right to, it doesn't do anything bad to the population.

I believe that when one religious idea ceases to work for man, then it is simply placed with another. It is not something to be seen as negative, but a stepping stone of mens comprehension of god. Is it that we as man who build and shape new definitions of all things. Is is that we are changing god, or is god changing us, so that we may know ourselves? It would seem that alot of people in this world have had to tear ideas down and find new ideas. I wonder if this is what is meant? I wish you well

Does it suck that there is so much evidence for evolution and none for creation that the world as a whole looks at you as hicks that do not understand simple genetics? If creation is true how come there is no evidence for it? Is it God's way of testing us?

how can you say God is nice (if there even is a God) if there are tons of deaths that God could stop? For example, since he controls everything, why won't he stop tsunamis? And what difference does it make to be a christian, bad things happen to christians too! Also, if there is an afterlife, then why don't people live the best life on eart and then just before dying convert into a christian and be able to be in "heaven" instead of having to follow strict christian rules all your life! And where is heaven???
