I believe that when one religious idea ceases to work for man, then it is simply placed with another. It is not something to be seen as negative, but a stepping stone of mens comprehension of god. Is it that we as man who build and shape new definitions of all things. Is is that we are changing god, or is god changing us, so that we may know ourselves? It would seem that alot of people in this world have had to tear ideas down and find new ideas. I wonder if this is what is meant? I wish you well

Interesting question.

Man does customize God, but this doesn't mean it is right. God is a real someONE, not a someTHING. Many worship and have created false gods.

God made man in his own image. We were created to be his companions and bring joy. He gave us free will and choice, because this is true love.

The Bible is of the real God. It contains prophecy - specific, world changing events that prove the God of the Bible has his hand solidly on past, present and future.

May you be well too...

the forms of experience in the physical realm are limited

human life is a form
religion is a form

all forms are interdependent and thus do not have their own eternal or even substantive existence

the forms can be dropped

God is beyond all forms, yet also is the core of all forms

change is a constant movement, like the breath, that occurs on all levels

That which is unchangeable manifests into physical existence, and thus is itself changeable

the object of change is a form, and as such is in a sense irrelevent to the dynamic force of change, the source

God created man and gave us His word and His Holy Spirit so that we would know who He is. Many refuse to accept the authority and take accountability for their actions so they create or customize their own God- they call it getting to know ourselves or coming to a better understanding of God but it is nothing less than idolatry- God is not a liar, He is not manipulated and changed by mans imperfections- He is who He is and we either accept that or make up our own false god. Having a false god does not make one more open minded, forward thinking or intelligent- it just makes one a fool.

cool question, I think that we as humans can not fully comprehend God as he is vastly complex, so we change the way we think of him to try to place a better definition of God in the hope that we would better understand him. Also some people make up a vision of God which would suit their situation. God gives us free will so he wouldn't change us, besides he would have, being God, already known that he wouldn't like us they way we were and have changed us before hand.

How I see it is that there's only one God, but different religions see different facets of him because no one can fully comprehend his complexity. So we all see what we're able to see, and that's affected by who we are individually, as well as what our culture's programmed us to think is good. Yet at the same time, we got where we are now because of belief in God...not in some esoteric sense, but to the extent that we would've developed different cultures if nobody believed in God. So it's really impossible to separate which is which.

most religions are based on a man or men, attempting to modify TheConceipts of G-D, so that they are politicialy correct for the times, for them to mentaly controll people. which shall eventualy by defalt lead to the worship of the principals of fallen angels in idolitry. and if you end up in idolitry, then the rules for that idol shall be used to mentaly controll, in spite of men saying g-d is on our side, because it is not G-D WHO'S Side you are realy on. and you can see this happening today with muslems, christians and yehoodah as jews. who are not realy worshiping TheG-D as commanded, as you should. since most religious leaders are not saying worship G-D, but me instead of HIM(hence the spirit of baal molech). to believe in any man is to be controlled by evil man as animals and to become domesticated as animals of man. the laws of man without G-D, are definatly idolity. but the ones who say they are with g-d, must be checked even closer in TheTorah to be considered as valid. as to actual wheather is is from G-D, or just them wanting to be a g-d to you.
