So earlier tonight i went to a bible study and the people leading it said these words out of a book "Love is not a feeling it's a choice."

I was very confused by this and wanted to know what that really meant. So if anyone can explain please do. Thanks.

Some people believe that they always were, as if their entire existence was in either Heaven or Hell as an angel or a demon. However, I wonder if they didn't all start off as people. Do you think (regardless as to what a religious texts might say) that good people become angels when they enter Heaven and bad and evil people become demons when they enter Hell? Or maybe angels and demons (the Devil's angels) are just the messengers, guardians, advocates, etc. that are either selected by God or the Devil, or whom choose those roles.

Sorry if this question sounds awkward.

I am trying to cast a spell called the "Desire Spell." It calls for a red candle. I've noticed that substitution are acceptable in other spells. For example, I see in other spells that I can substitute a pink candle (if I want true love) over a red candle (instead of passion/lust). I want this spell to cast in the name of love, not just lust. Would the spell still work? And also, the spell should be cast when the waxing moon is in the sign of Scorpio. I cannot wait until May to perform this. Would there be any other acceptable time?

In particular, as a Christian, it saddens me when I personally know many Muslims who are kind and gentle people. Many of whom will go out of their way to help others, like the Good Samaritan in our Bible.

Yet, Muslims, particularly in America are seeing a backlash against them because of the few extremists. And I say "few" because it is only a small percentage of people who want to destroy the U.S.

So, my question is, can't we stop treating ALL Muslims as potential terrorists, just because there are SOME terrorists who misrepresent what their religious beliefs truly are?

When we think of Christ's example in the Bible, why can't we turn the other cheek to the Muslim we meet in our daily lives? Why can't we show them love?

You know their your bretheren. Gulags. Re-education camps. The KGB. Poland, Hungary, Romania (I'm half Romanian), East Germany, China, Cuba, Vietnam, North Korea. Marx and Mao ("Religion is the Opiate of the People"), Stallin, Lennin, Castro.

Many of you atheists (not all, but many) talk of Christain Crusades, serial killers, murderers and executions of criminals.

What of YOUR Atheist Bretheren?

Any views or comments on the legacy of organized Athiesm?

The Wiccans first belief (my apologies if I misquote this) is to not cause harm to others.

The Biblical teachings of Jesus in the New Testament show to turn the other cheek.

Muslims believe in peace.

And I believe the same is true about the Hindu and Buddist faiths.

So if those of us who are religious follow these principles, why can't we stop the bickering, the hatred, and the antagonism?

Does it really matter if someone else from one of the other religious camps did something wrong that was offensive?

What will it take for people to learn peace?

Why can't we stop blaming what another religion or another person did in the past?
