They would have preached about how to keep living right. how to spot the devils tricks to lead them astray so they would know it when they are tempted.

People never have. The prophets of the OT are centuries of preaching against "evil". The history books of the OT - Kings/Chronicles recognize a few good kings, but always find somepart of their reigns where they did measure up. In NT - Christians had the evil Roman Empire for 300 years to preach against, then the pagans, and always immorality.

If the preachers were not scaring you with devine retribution for your sins how would they feed themselves? They have always preached about the evils in the modern age, that is the whole story of the Bible, even when the modern age was Adam and Eve.

Because life started out with men failing... I don't think there was a time when people lived right.....

By the sixth chapter of Genesis, God came to the conclusion that His spirit will not always strive with man..... Because he was both spirit and flesh... and it was that "flesh" part that was causing him to err......

If a church ever told anyone there was no evil in the world, I think it may affect how many actually attend.

they didnt preach, they worshiped God read the old testament it will answer your question> people live in prosperity when they are right with God,
