Abraham had two sons, Isaac by his wife Sarah and Ishmael by his maid Hagar. Through the lineage of Isaac eventually evolved Christ however through the lineage of Ishmael evolved the Muslim religion. Through Isaac was the promise that all the families of the world would be blessed but through Ishmael who was the bastard son of Abraham evolved an ungodly people, (Muslims) They refuse to believe that Jesus was the Son of God and they also reject Gods' plan of salvation for them through Jesus Christ as they go about to establish their own righteousness which, as the Bible points out, is not acceptable to the Lord. They therefore stand condemned before the Lord and a fiery judgment awaits them. These are not my words but are the words of the Lord himself as written in his word.

Abraham is the root of the God of no name. The God that created all. The God of the Jews and later the Christians. Not so sure about the Muslims for they have a differing view on creation and other things.

Abraham is the patriarch of the Jewish nation.
Any Christian references to Abraham are there because the Christian Messiah was Jewish.
The Muslims also refer to Abraham as their father, because Abraham's son Ishmael fathered the Arabs, and the first Muslims were Arabs. (Of course almost all Arabs are Muslims, but many Muslims are not Arabs).

Abraham is the "father" of Jew's and Christians and he is the father of Ishmael who became the father of 12 princess, rulers of the Arab nations which practice Islam. Christians are the adopted seed of Abraham through the blood of Jesus that they accepted as their Lord and Savior. So Abraham being blessed by God for his righteousness and faith, made a covenant with God and because Abraham was faithfull to fullfill the covenant God promised him many things including salvation and Jews and Christians alike are joint heirs in these promises.

Abraham is considered as the FATHER of the three major faiths you mention. Through his first-born, Ishmael, arose the Ismaelites or Arabs of today. He was the son between Abraham and their maid, Haggar, since his wife Sarah was barren most of her life. But she eventually became pregnant and bore him a child, Isaac.
Through his second son, Isaac, arose the lineage of Jacob who had twelve sons [twelve tribes], including Judah, the forebears of the Jews of today.
Judaism started since the time of Moses, who was a Jewish prophet. [circa 3500 BCE]
Christianity arose from the teachings of Yeshua/Jesus Christ, a Jewish prophet. [circa 30 CE]
And Islam or Mohammedanism arose from the teachings of Mohammed, an Arabian prophet. [circa 500 CE]

Abraham was the "Father" of all of us or something. God promised him that he would have many children, as many as the stars. (as in grandchildren, nieces, nephews, etc.)
