why is it that when the Bible seems to be against something
(homosexuality for example) it is to be taken literaly.

but when it is clearly against something that every man and woman do every day it is a parable to be taken as a story to help you get rid of the bad habit?

why do folks pick and choose what they will follow from the Bible.
this part is literal ,this part is a parable, who made us God,s translators.

What ethnicity was Jesus? I know he was the descendant of King David and he was jewish. But was he a black hebrew or a ashenaki jew, which is white? from the description, derived from the bible his ethnicity is clear. I've heard he was a Mexican by plenty, to me that does not mess because mexico had not been inhabited until the 1600s.

just wondering if any of you self proclaimed atheists have thought about the fact that if you are wrong about God being real and if you dont except him ...that you will be damned ? Im scared for you ...even though i know in my heart that God is real and i have accepted jesus ...IF i was wrong i would have nothing to lose by my life style and beliefs ...YOU would have eternity to burn and be tortured...i pray that you come to know my Jesus .

In all my life, I've never met a group that was as pious as the Muslims. I've heard other's say "god bless you", but not much else. It also seems Muslims are worried about losing their faith. I was having a religious debate with a muslim once, and he was adamant that when Jesus comes back to earth, Christians will go on a 'crusade' to take over the middle east and oppress muslims....or something along those lines. I've been to India, and there were no Hindus or anything that were so involved with religion. Most people there were like Americans, who aren't extremely religious on the whole.

I have two friends that I've known since junior highschool. I left home when I was 18 and I call them every other month or so. I've never had a discussion with them before about being born again. I know that we should not be ashamed to share the good news about Jesus Christ, but I'm worried that they would be put-off by the talk. I started talking a little with one friend. I asked her if she was in church (just for starters) and then we started having a short discussion about the importance of staying in our faith, then she changed the subject. Have you ever had a conversation about the Lord with long time friends who are not actively practicing the faith/seeking God's face? How did you break the ice? How do you have the discussion without sounding judgemental? They both have kids and are not teaching them about the Lord.

Ive seen other relgions....my dad is catholic and my mom is Baptist and i know ppl that are Mormons. I compare and JW's are so clear...they explain with any kind of Bible and its so clear. Im studing and I luv it. Its not a cult; thatz just a rumor. Everyone talks bad about them because u guyz think that their strict...but their just following the laws of God. I think that ppl talk bad about them cuz ppl just dont want to obey and do whatever they want. Its weird cuz in the Bible it clearly says that ppl would talk bad about the truth...read any bible and u will see that. I know this is the true religion....Ive seen proof, Ive seen changes in ppl.....shish in myself.LOL!

It was created perfect, but the computer was given free will. Things went wrong in the Garden, and after a few thousand years of downloading corrective instructions (Old Testament), God finally sent His Son for a full reboot.

Isaiah 9:6—Jesus a “Mighty God”?The Watchtower Teaching. The New World Translation renders Isaiah 9:6,
“For there has been a child born to us, there has been a son given to us; and the
princely rule will come to be upon his shoulder. And his name will be called
Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace” (italics
added).
The Jehovah’s Witnesses concede that Jesus is a “mighty God” but they are
adamant that He is not God Almighty like Jehovah is.114 They further argue that
“to call Jehovah God ‘Almighty’ would have little significance unless there existed
others who were also called gods but who occupied a lesser or inferior position
The Biblical Teaching (Isaiah 10:21)
