According to LDS theology, God the Father is a resurredted, "exalted" man named Elohim, who was at one time NOT God. He was once a mortal man on another planet who, through obedience to precepts of HIS god, eventually attained godhood. The late Mormon apostle Bruce McConkie "Elohim, plural word through it is used as the exalted name-title of God the Eternal Father." ( Mormon Doctrine, 2nd ed. [Salt Lake City: Bookcraft, 1979], 224)
It would seem that the LDS god had a father god and GRANDFATHER and so on into the past forever.
BUT
Christian view God has always been God there is NOTHING greater then God
Ps 90:2 Before the mountains were born Or You gave birth to the earth and the world, Even from everlasting to everlasting, You are God.
Implicit throughout Isaiah 40-48 is the supreme soverignty and utter uniqueness of Yahweh in creation, beside who there is no other god.
