they are no longer impressed with their own original belief (their parent's religion)? They even bag buddhism/hinduism! Do they even know the basics of these or the thought behind the practices before they put all beliefs in one bag that you think deserves to be discarded? Is that not prejudiced that you call other beliefs bad just coz you had a bad experience with your own for eg. christianity?

Why do you believe that there can be no true love in a homosexual relationship? In one of my earlier questions, I refered to the churches' attempts to break up gay relationships. I used the term "homewrecker" to describe this.

I honestly cannot believe some of the bigoted answers I received. Most of them replied that "two homos living together is not a home."

http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/home

Sounds like it could be a "home" to me, but many of you disagree because your religion tells you that two men (or two women) can't share that kind of love. What gives you the authority to tell others what they can and can't feel? The authority to invite homosexuals into the church and blantantly tell them they're not in love, but "in lust?" Sorry, but I find this rude and patronizing. Anyone can love, why in the world would you tell them what they are capable of feeling?

Mature answers only, please. No bible quotes or "go to church" or "eww, gay is nasty" responses.

Jesus said, I am the way, and the life, no one comes to the father except through me.
What do you think this verse means. NOw I know Christians take it literally, that only through Jesus. Does that mean they gotta walkthrough him. Last time I checked it was not possible to walk through another being. SO it must implie Jesuses spirit right?
So would that mean his word? And cant his word the main principles of his word, loving another, faith, healilng, everything he taught, has it not been the principles of every religion who believe in god, or gods, or a higher power. Karma, do unto others, prayer, meditaions. Isnt it the same. I get weary of people who call my friends evil, because of their abilities, isnt it the same teachings of Jesus. Did Jesus not say Ye people of so little faith you have the power to do what I do and more. So would scripture imply that through Jesuses spirit,(his teachings) you will know god?
What is your opinion just wanted to know someone elses?

and moving away from their herd mentality? Why are christians these days constantly trying to identify themselves with buddhism when they resorted to namecalling earlier? Are they scared now of losing blind followers and power when people are actually starting to think on their own with buddhism?

I'm a Christian Witch, so I was wondering when you pray to your god to cast a particular spell or pray for someone who's very Christian and probably not interested in witchcraft nor practices it. Would it be like praying Jesus, Mary, catholic saints, angels, etc to help them? Kind of like praying to the gods they already prefer as opposed to just praying for your gods and/or goddesses to help them.

When I mean putting on spell on them, I don't mean casting one that evil but one to help them when they are down.

I have used mostly the KJV all my life and only recently started comparing versions. I was amazed at the difference some verses have in the total thought, not just little words here and there. Also, some versions leave out entire texts. That is scary if you have your belief system in God's Word. I do have comfort that God promises to preserve His Word forever. (Psalm 12:6,7) But, we need to know which Bible is the most accurate to know Him the best do we not? If I wanted to know about someone wouldn't I find out the most by a authentic biography and not just some story with a few accurate facts and some fiction?

I mean, where is the verse that says "In 2000 years, there will be the last days"?? The bible never mentions such ridiculous time frames, but it does mention words like NEAR and SOON, and AT HAND and THIS GENERATION. Now, if you were a follower of Jesus back in the first century, what would you think Jesus meant by the words "this generation"? And also, doesn't Peter in acts 2 say that he is living the last days??? (verses 14-17).

If you believe we are in the last days, PLEASE spend time to research, and listen to this guy:
http://www.sovereigngracebible.org/
(go to the "audio sermons" part on the side, and listen to the last days series). If the bible truly says that we are in the last days, then you guys should easily be able to refute what this guy is saying....this is not a waste of your time, and will give you a different, but biblical perspective. All I ask is that before you dismiss this as another wrong teaching, look into it, because it is based only on what the bible says.

Here's my thoughts on it on Heb 5:14

Law is good, but it's also evil.
Our father, deliver us from evil: Mt 6:13
We are delivered from the law: Rom 7:6

Law is holy, but it's also unholy.
Law worketh wrath: Rom 4:15
Wrath listed with unholy: 2Tim 3
God hath not appt'd us to wrath: 1Thess 5:9

Law is spiritual, but also spiritual wickedness.
Spiritual wickedness occurs in high places.
High-minded listed with un-holy: 3Tim 3

Exercise senses to discern both good + evil:
- If it sounds like Horeb-bull, and
- If it looks Fishy, and
- If it smells Pewy, and
- If it tastes Bitter-sweet, and
- If it feels like Hell when swallowed, well
then you're likely sensing johnny law law.

Try(Test Drive) the Spirits:
Law isn't sufficient, try Grace.
Grace is sufficient, flush Law.

Enmity: I will forsake you, the city, your fathers... Law
Friend: I will never leave thee nor forsake thee... Grace
Christ is our peace who hath abolished the enmity(law).

You believe in the Bible. That's great, there is a lot of "stuff" in the Bible. In the 4th centurie (roughly) there was a HUGE debate over whther or not the Trinity should be incorporated into Christianity; even to the point of killing. In the end, Trinity prevailed and "normal Christianity" for the time was abolished. How do you KNOW that the original Christianity was not the correct one? Weren't they the ones closest to God? What if...what if the Trinity was a made up doctrine that has lead MILLIONS astray? I find no problem with the bible in light of these verses. You can't explain ALL of them:
