Here's my thoughts on it on Heb 5:14

Law is good, but it's also evil.
Our father, deliver us from evil: Mt 6:13
We are delivered from the law: Rom 7:6

Law is holy, but it's also unholy.
Law worketh wrath: Rom 4:15
Wrath listed with unholy: 2Tim 3
God hath not appt'd us to wrath: 1Thess 5:9

Law is spiritual, but also spiritual wickedness.
Spiritual wickedness occurs in high places.
High-minded listed with un-holy: 3Tim 3

Exercise senses to discern both good + evil:
- If it sounds like Horeb-bull, and
- If it looks Fishy, and
- If it smells Pewy, and
- If it tastes Bitter-sweet, and
- If it feels like Hell when swallowed, well
then you're likely sensing johnny law law.

Try(Test Drive) the Spirits:
Law isn't sufficient, try Grace.
Grace is sufficient, flush Law.

Enmity: I will forsake you, the city, your fathers... Law
Friend: I will never leave thee nor forsake thee... Grace
Christ is our peace who hath abolished the enmity(law).

Looking for an excuse to break the law? Trying to rationalize your own wrongdoings?

So, where did the concepts of good and evil begin?

This is just what I've heard, but supposedly it began in Egypt...that which Pharoah liked was 'good' and that which Pharoah disliked was 'evil'.

The really twisted part of your quotes is that many laws in the US were put in place because the christian majority agreed with those laws. SO, if you break most of the laws in the US, you will also be going against the bible. Ahh, christianity, it will always be one of the most illogical concepts ever concieved by man.
