How do Muslims explain that you can earn Salvation by works? How can any sinner think that a Holy God would accept a sinner who is not Holy into fellowship with Him. Wouldnt that negate the Holiness of God?

The sr islamic cleric of Australia (mufti) claims that muslim rapists should have their prison sentences reduced because their victim, who wasn't dressed in traditional garb that covers a woman from head to toe, was "like raw meat left uncovered in the presence of dogs".

Since this fellow has ascended to the highest postion an islam can attain in Australia I assume that he is totally familiar with Islamic doctrine. Does this mean that muslims feel that men are really just animals, unable to control themselves ?

I watied to ask this question because I wanted to observe the official reaction from the Muslim church. I assumed he would be reprimanded and forced to apologize at the very least. Today I read that he has generously agreed to refrain from public speach for 3 months while he takes the pilgrimage to Mecca.

Why does the Muslim church have such a hard time denouncing those who say or do things that are flat out wrong ?

someone said monotheists believe that God is omnipresent, but he dont know as many do that muslims dont believe that,we dont believe that allah(God) is omnipresent (bec that mean we are part of him, that God (as those who believe in omnipresence) contain our feces, that God is present in bathroom (dirty place ) that God contain nasty odour ) but we (MUSLIMS) do not believe in omnipresence of God but at the same time we believe that God with us by his knowledge he can see us anywhere he can listen to us anytime i hope its clear
ppl may say that muslims refuse many things that other religions believe in,,but i say that is what allah say and what he has inspired to the prophet(PBUH) and that is what make islam the only true religion that its the only pure religion from God ,speak to brain and accepted by logic

Richard Dawkins has spent much energy attacking Christian faith. Yet he says "Faith, by definition, defies evidence." Since Dawkins never explains where he got this definition of Christian faith, could someone cite a single Christian theologian who holds this view?

He is 14 and his parents are going to a party on Halloween night. He plans to try it while they're away. He invited me and some other people to watch but I am not going. He's been researching this for months and read some books on how to conjure up spirits. How can I talk him out of it?

I find that religious people act 'good' but when no one's looking they are really mean and talk badly about anyone while non-religious people are normally mean but tell it to you in your face.

Honesty is non-religious apparently.

Why lie and act like you like someone and then go bad mouth them behind their back, face it we live in a world full of strive and discord and it is all for the greater glory of Goddess Eris Discordia.

Is it good to be mean to people and be honest, or should I lie instead?

Or should I just laugh my as$ off while everyone else is fighting each other while claiming their religions are for peace and love?

When the moon is WANING. Going from Full to New, (occult,
"hidden" behind the Earths shadow). The forces in Creation are
mostly flowing away from Earth. That is the time to ask that
things like addictions and bad relationships, get OUT of your
life.
When it is WAXING, going from New to Full. The forces are
mostly flowing to Earth. That is the time to ask that things come
INTO your life.
Gen 1 waters/forces.
1Sam 20:15, 1Chron 23:31, Ps 81:3. New Moon.
Isaiah criticized the New Moon in the 1st chapter because people
did it in VAIN. Half-heartedly, just going through the motions.
The Apostle Paul mentions observing the New Moon too, but I
won't do all your homework for you.

Monotheists tend to believe in an all-powerful, omnicient, omnipresent and loving God. However, injustices happen everyday that take the lives of millions of people (katrina, tsunamis, earthquakes, 9/11, war). So..

If God is all-powerful and he chooses not to stop these things, why? Does that mean he is not loving?

Or...

Can he not stop these things from happening? Wouldn't he then not be all-powerful?

How do the faithful resolve this paradox?

Is it because Brazilians are mostly Catholic and to her, "Catholic" kind of meant "Christian"?

The reason I'm asking is strange. I have been interested in Catholicism, and it just seemed odd to me that she would say that. I keep wondering if there was something that seemed "Catholic" about me or something! I know, that's silly. Just wondering. I have dark hair. Maybe she thought I was Italian. Who knows.
