Who is God?
Things you know about God does not reveal who God is. It takes a personal relationship. Lift up ones soul to God to full it with the Holy Spirit. Knowing Gods ways. Know Gods paths. Know Gods truths. Know Gods ways. Psalms 103: 7. God made known his ways. It is different than the acts of God. The acts are the deeds of God. The ways of God include actions and deeds and the way he thinks. His motives, what he does, why he does it, how he thinks, what are his plans, his expectations, what he is doing, how he uses the wicked, what he expects of Christians, etc. God commands that we learn his ways. It is going deeper than seeing his actions. It is a personal relationship with God. It is necessary to know him, really know him. If we are to find favor in Gods site and he in us, it is critical that we know Gods ways. He will reveal his ways to us, which we may know him, and what he expects of us. You cannot truly know God by just be interested in what he is doing, especially what he is doing for just you. You must know him, really know him and his ways. You must seek his ways. He requires it of us too! To walk in Gods ways, we must learn how to do that. It must start with our desire to learn God. The more we know God, the more we love God, and the more we want to know more about him. The way you learn about God and discover who God is…is one way at a time. Any relationship requires certain factors. Any deep relationship of love requires intimacy. It is getting on the inside of one. It is a two-way relationship. We get to know one another, really know one another. We do not seek to rebel but to draw closer to one another. Trust is needed. If you first trust the person, or God, it is easier to draw closer. If you do not trust, you cannot draw closer. God tells us, oh that we would walk in his ways, if we could know that his way is always best for us and that we can never get the good outside of him. All rebellion is the will of one to walk outside of Gods way for our life. People sometimes want to live and walk in their own way. God wants us to learn to submit and walk in his ways. He can defeat our enemies. He can give us all the food and needs for us. He can give us all the pleasures. He can prevent unnecessary suffering. He can prevent or bring us out of depression, anxiety, and all the other bad feelings. He can protect us from our enemies. You must surrender your ways, surrender your will. You will never have real peace, contentment, joy…until you surrender to God. You can go your way and maybe even get things but still you will be empty and missing peace, joy, contentment on the inside. Sometimes God is beyond our comprehension. We must believe that Gods way is always the best way for us. His work is perfect. He is just. He is upright. He is righteous. He will always to do the best for us. His ways are the ways of kindness, love and mercy. His goal is to love us and for us to love him. Sometimes he must structure us, prune us, and discipline us. Even when he does this, some will rebel, these people have been deceived by Satan. If we submit to the times God is pruning us, we are on the way to success. People are not successful until they do this. The world thinks money, prestige and power is success. Those things are temporary. What has a man gained if he gains the whole world but looses his soul? Eternity is so much longer than a small amount of time on earth. Success is discovering the will of God and being obedient to God. They have inner peace, inner joy, and inner contentment. These people are not looking for things that those living for the world are looking for…they do not need to be the life of the party, they do not need to be surrounded by many people, they are not interested in stepping on people to get to the top of the ladder, and so on. The world has put many people on the high pedestal and they fall off. God lifts us up in ways that no man can harm us. Learning to trust and live for Christ builds faith. When we live for him and follow his path for our life, we see success. If we get off his path, we see problems. This teaches us, how to stay on his path. We learn to walk with him. We walk by faith not by sight. The world walks by sight and not by faith. This is why they do not understand Christians. They have no faith. We do not worry about those of the world; God will deal with them, in his ways, in his time. Let us not focus on others, but keep our eyes on God. Neither look to the left, nor look to the right, but keep our eyes straight ahead on God. He is leading us. We walk in the spirit and not in the flesh. Nonbelievers cannot comprehend this. They try to reason everything in the fleshly mind, they live like animals. God has given us a higher intelligence and has given us a soul with spirit…it is what separates us from animals. To live in the spirit and walk in the spirit, we must use our soul and our higher intelligence. God commands us to follow us, he does not demand we follow him. Love is only love if it is given freely from our soul. If we love we respect. They go hand in hand. Who has known the mind of God. Some things are beyond our ways. We need to have faith. We will not ever know all the limits of God, while we are in the human body. The mind of God is absolutely so far beyond what we can fathom. We only see a glimpse of his divine ability, the rest requires faith. Any true Christian that has truly walked in the path of God can give testimony that God has worked miracles in their life. Walking with God opens doors that we never believed could open and closes doors on troubles, that we can never see possible. We cannot be shallow in our relationship with God, we must develop our relationship with God. When we understand Gods ways, the Christian walk takes on an entirely new perspective. We see God and truly understand him…it is then that we find a divine love, one that the human mind could never find on its own thinking. To know God is to love God. To love God is to seek to know God. How do we fall in love with people? It is through getting to love them, by getting to know them. Once we fall in love, it takes commitment to keep the love. It takes constant seeking, growing, commitment, trust, faith etc. Just getting to a place of loving a person is not the end of the relationship, it is just the beginning. The same is true for falling in love with God. After we find his love and grasp the depth of his love then we need to grow deeper in his love by our commitment, faith, trust, loyalty etc. The more we seek to know him, the more he will reveal to us. The more we trust in him, the more he will trust in us. The more faithful we become, the more faithful he is to want to give us the desires of our hearts. When we become in love with God, our desires change. We do not desire the same things as we did when we walked in the flesh. We desire things which are good and right for us. We desire to fulfill our purpose. We desire things that brings us closer to God. We do not desire things which separates us from God. We crave God like a baby cries for milk. When we first get to know God we are baby Christians. The deeper the walk with him, the more we mature. We have a mature understanding of him. To unbelievers they cannot understand this phase either. They try to argue about why Christians say and do things differently. They fail to understand the different levels of Christianity. Some Christians too, have not reached this level of understanding. God understands this. He knows that they are on the path, and they will discover this as they walk the path. The important thing is to get on Gods path and stay on his path. To grow in wisdom and spiritual maturity is part of the journey. True wisdom can never be obtained from the world. It is from God. Only those walking in deep commitment with God can ever obtain true wisdom. True wisdom, is the ability of seeing the world through the eyes of the Lord. It is seeing things that God wants us to see in a way that he wants us to see them. It is not only seeing them, but knowing how to interpret them. It is then knowing what to think, say and do with this gist of wisdom. God needs to know that he can trust us before he gives us such gifts. He does not give true divine gifts recklessly. He gives us these gifts when he has tried and tested us. He gives us gifts in small increments and tests us to see how we will use these gifts. If we use them in the way he has intended them for he pours out more. If we betray him, he pulls back and withholds the spiritual gifts. Some Christians are very shallow: they think you just pray, go to church and believe. Not true. That is a spiritually immature Christian. God is so much more than that. We seek to know God. See, hear observe, and understand him. We must learn how to identify God and how he is working. If you are egotistical and want God to present himself on your terms, in your ways, then you will never find God. If your idea of who God is… is based on your terms and in your own understanding, you will never find God. Some people have been so deceived by Satan, that they really do not want to seek God…they just want to live in rebellion. They want what they want, when they want it and how they want it…that is not God or how God works. Chances are that these types of people deal with others in their lives the same ways. They most likely rebel against their parents, their teachers, their bosses, the authority figures of all kinds. They most likely never can have a true loving relationship with anyone. These types are takers. They never will give anything of themselves. They are not capable of loving or being loved…until they change. They must be willing to accept God on Gods terms. Love others by a give and take commitment. This is not a well balanced person…it is an authoritarian person who wants to control and dominate God and others. God is the creator, the Father, the Lord, he is in authority over us. He is merciful and gracious. He does seek to be authoritarian or dictate to us. He simply wants us to live to be our best. He is all knowing. He knows what is best for us and will do everything to keep us from harm by teaching us the way in which to walk. If we are rebelling against God… that is because we are trying to control God and making him live on our terms and be the God we want him to be…God does not work that way…that is foolish pride and arrogance. It reveals the fool in us and says nothing about God except that God is such a gracious and loving God that he even loves the fool like that! He will even forgive this foolish man if he asks for forgiveness. You may want all the good things of life, but God will not give you all the good he has for your life, if you are not willing to do what it takes. God will give you many benefits of walking in his ways. God wants to bless you with his best. He wants to give you intimacy. This means you must open your life to him. You must seek to find him. Open your soul. Be honest, sincere and genuine. Once we get intimate with God, he will then hear your prayers. He will show you how to pray and what to pray for. We begin to understand Gods viewpoint. We gain a divine perspective and view of God and life. It is enlightenment. We suddenly see things in a new light. We understand. This understanding cannot be obtained any other way. It is only achieved by an intimate relationship with God. God will not be deceived. You will not make a fool of him, if you set out to do so, you yourself will be the fool. You must be honest, sincere, and genuine… and seek to find the same in God. Anyone who seeks to find God and Gods path for their life and will do these things…they will find it. God tells us that if we seek to save our life…and live for ourself…we will loose our life…spend eternity in hell…but he that seeks to loose his life…and live for God…will gain his life…both on earth and for eternity in heaven. If we lay our life down for God he will bless us. Our God is an awesome God. He loves us all equally. He does not have favorites. He loves each of us the same. If we surrender to his will and walk accordingly, confess our sins, he will grant us mercy and goodness. The mercy means he will never punish us in the ways we deserve. The goodness is the graciousness that he bestows upon us. He gives us things that we never earned. He blesses our lives enriches us. To anyone who has ears, let him hear the word of God. To anyone who has eyes, let him see the works of God. To those who have a soul, let him feel the spirit of God. To those who have faith, let him live for God. To those who have emptiness, let him seek and find God. To those who are lost, let him call out for God to find him. To those who are dirty with sin, let Christ wash away his sins. To all those who have found God, let them give testimony to his goodness. To those who have given their life, let them grow in spiritual maturity and in Gods wisdom & grace. To all those who rebel against God, let them realize the error of their ways and humble themselves before the Lord.
