MY ANSWER: chico, you are absolutely right! We are here to serve others by helping ourselves first. We need to be strong in order to help others but the purpose we need to gain is to help others, and not for our selfish needs. Shayna, are you for real? I believe in reincarnation. So this life is an experience on top of a myriad of experiences from my previous and future lives. It's about being complete, and experiencing every aspect of life.

I am on this world by pure circumstance. Some people may judge me in passing as I will no doubt judge others in passing. My purpose in this life, the meaning of life is to pass on our genes to the next generation. Now we must try to pass on our knowledge or our worldview also. We may also be able to pass on some property or wealth.
If a person is wealthy enough the priority is switched around and becomes primarily to pass on the family wealth but the three ingredients are still there with more or less emphesis, pass on genes, worldview and accumulated wealth.
A person must choose their spouse carefully so as there is no conflict between worldviews which might upset the passing on of wealth.
Or, you could be like me and forget all that.. I wouldn't wish life on anyone.

I believe that we are all Spirit Children of God the Father and that we lived with Him in Heaven before coming to this world to get the gift of a physical body.. getting the physical body is only part of our reason for coming here...
we are also here to be tested to see if we will do all that God commands so that we will understand the final Judgement which is placed upon us and determines the Glories we receive upon going back to Heaven (or not being allowed into Heaven).

Natural cumulation of the history of the universe up until now. Otherwise, I have no external meaning.
However, because I'm alive and self-aware, I'm free to interpret my life and experiences as having meaning. In my case, I've lived my life for knowledge, the more of it I get, the happier I am. So I take great fulfillment in learning.

Everyone has a purpose in life, a reason God put them here. I believe my humble purpose in life is to nurture my daughters and grandchildren leading them to make good healthy decisions and a moral Christian life.
