I have two friends that I've known since junior highschool. I left home when I was 18 and I call them every other month or so. I've never had a discussion with them before about being born again. I know that we should not be ashamed to share the good news about Jesus Christ, but I'm worried that they would be put-off by the talk. I started talking a little with one friend. I asked her if she was in church (just for starters) and then we started having a short discussion about the importance of staying in our faith, then she changed the subject. Have you ever had a conversation about the Lord with long time friends who are not actively practicing the faith/seeking God's face? How did you break the ice? How do you have the discussion without sounding judgemental? They both have kids and are not teaching them about the Lord.

There are so many great answers. Thanks very much! I will only speak to them about what I do and pray for them privately. I will also check out The Way of the Master website. And if I feel led to witness to them, I'll do so at that time.

You have to tell them and let the chips fall where they may. Depending on their reaction and the pain in your heart (if it's negative), you have to decide if their friendship is worth a lot of prayer and a lot of sacrifice on your part. Our souls have been bought and paid for by the precious blood of Jesus. What price has been set on your friend's souls? Only God knows. So, either persevere in prayer on their behalf or be reconciled to having to surrender the old life for the sake of the new.

Don't push it. When it fits with a comment, say "Thank you, God"; "God does do great things."; "God really blessed me(you) today by . . .". If the listener wants to take it from there, he or she will. Sometimes, I'll write or say, in accordance to news that I am sharing, "Thank you, God." There is always prayer. I like to send God messages with cards & not just a generic message. I am referring to birthdate, anniversary, & such occasions.

It's very difficult when you're not able to invite people to come with you to your home church.

You should not approach this as your friend "should know" or "should do". I wouldn't even recommend this as a "I would do this in your place". What is *best* to talk about is what you do. Tell them about your recent revelations and ministries.

when their time comes god will show his face to them...he'll do something to test their faith and that will change their life forever...........it happened to me
in my church we learn that life on earth is just a test to show if we are worthy enough to go back to him
