Isaiah 9:6—Jesus a “Mighty God”?The Watchtower Teaching. The New World Translation renders Isaiah 9:6,
“For there has been a child born to us, there has been a son given to us; and the
princely rule will come to be upon his shoulder. And his name will be called
Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace” (italics
added).
The Jehovah’s Witnesses concede that Jesus is a “mighty God” but they are
adamant that He is not God Almighty like Jehovah is.114 They further argue that
“to call Jehovah God ‘Almighty’ would have little significance unless there existed
others who were also called gods but who occupied a lesser or inferior position
The Biblical Teaching (Isaiah 10:21)

Jehovah's Witnesses believe that the Scriptures alone quite plainly demonstrate that Jesus and the Almighty are separate distinct persons, and the Almighty created Jesus as His firstborn son.

(Colossians 1:15) the firstborn of all creation

(Mark 10:18) Jesus said to him: 'Why do you call me good? Nobody is good, except one, God.

(Revelation 3:14) the Amen says, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation by God

(Philippians 2:5-6) Christ Jesus, who, although he was existing in God's form, gave no consideration to a seizure, namely, that he should be equal to God

(John 8:42) Neither have I come of my own initiative at all, but that One sent me forth

(John 12:49) I have not spoken out of my own impulse, but the Father himself who sent me has given me a commandment as to what to tell and what to speak

(John 14:28) I am going my way to the Father, because the Father is greater than I am

(1 Corinthians 15:28) But when all things will have been subjected to him, then the Son himself will also subject himself to the One who subjected all things to him

(Matthew 20:23) this sitting down at my right hand and at my left is not mine to give, but it belongs to those for whom it has been prepared by my Father

(1 Corinthians 11:3) I want you to know that the head of every man is the Christ; ...in turn the head of the Christ is God

(John 20:17) I am ascending to my Father and your Father and to my God and your God.

(Deuteronomy 6:4) Jehovah our God is one Jehovah

(1 Corinthians 8:4-6) There is no God but one. For even though there are those who are called "gods," whether in heaven or on earth, just as there are many "gods" and many "lords," there is actually to us one God the Father, out of whom all things are, and we for him

Moses was made God to Pharaoh.
(Ex 7:1)

the angel of Jehovah is said to be God (Judges 13:21,22)

the judges of Israel are said to be gods.

All the above are G/gods but not Jehovah.

All the above are spokesman for Jehovah.

Therefore the bible has established that those appointed to speak for Jehovah can be called G/god without being "false" gods.

Yes Jehovah is called Almight and Mighty, because he is.

This doesn't mean that because Jesus is called mighty, that they have to be equal. (1Cor 11:3, Rev 3:12)

When you compare Judges 13:21, 22 to John 1:1, do you insist that the angel is now part of the trinity??

Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace are titles that describe Jesus Christ. Saying that Christ is "Mighty God" does not mean that he is Jehovah God himself, for Jehovah is "Almighty." There is a difference. Just as there is a difference between God and god. Jehovah is God, Satan is a god. Upper case "G" and lower case "g" denotes ranking. See Money is a god, materialism is a god. Anything that people spend a considerable amount of time is considered a "god" because there are many "gods." but only one true God, Jehovah.

Further evidence that Jesus is Not His Father Jehovah God.

a) John 14:28 says, "YOU heard that I said to YOU, I am going away and I am coming [back] to YOU. If YOU loved me, YOU would rejoice that I am going my way to the Father, because the Father is greater than I am." Jesus speaking here of course regarding his position and his Fathers. Nowhere does it tell you that Jesus is the same as his Father.

b) Philipians 2:6-8 says, "who, although he was existing in God’s form, gave no consideration to a seizure, namely, that he should be equal to God. [v7] No, but he emptied himself and took a slave’s form and came to be in the likeness of men. [v8] More than that, when he found himself in fashion as a man, he humbled himself and became obedient as far as death, yes, death on a torture stake. If Jesus was God, who would have resurrected Jesus after the third day. Then, God would not be Almighty. Ever thought about that...

c) Jesus said in John 5:41 that he "does not accept glory from men." His Father, on the other hand, wants men and women to worship him because he is Almight God. Jesus never wanted such worship.

d) Revelation 4:11 says, "You are worthy, Jehovah, even our God, to receive the glory and the honor and the power, because you created all things, and because of your will they existed and were created.” Enough said there!

Above were four different lines of evidence to prove that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, not God himself. When we pray, we are to pray to Jehovah God [Jesus Father], but pray through Jesus name. No prayer is heard unless we pray to God, through Jesus name, given we are praying for the correct things.

"But I want YOU to know that the head of every man is the Christ; in turn the head of a woman is the man; in turn the head of the Christ is God." - 1 Corithians 11:3. Even Jesus Christ has a head, or someone who is above him.

I once again see people answering a question who believe in the false doctrine of the trinity. I have a web page that I'm perfecting and will be writing a rather long article about the doctrine of the trinity.

But to put it simple; the scriptures in no way support the doctrine of the trinity, or most christian fables, like tithing, hell, Lucifer etc.

Jesus Christ is not an equal to his father. Christ plainly said "my father is greater than I" (john 12:32)

I and My Father are One. They are the same. Neither are striving to overcome the other. They are one and that is hard for us to understand. We will be one with the Father also and we are even so now. We have the same Spirit, we have had a new birth, you are of God little children and have overcome the wicked one.Amen! Hard to understand with the head but with the heart we can do it. God has given Jesus all things and all power in heaven and in earth. All things were made by Him and for Him.
He rules!! I can't say enough about Him. I don't know how.

wow what a bad translation.

try this

For a child has been born to us, a son given to us, and the authority is upon his shoulder, and the wondrous adviser, the mighty God, the everlasting Father, called his name, "the prince of peace."

see what happens when you put words out of order

Christ is not God, he is the son of God as he proclaimed. It is foolish men who made him into God. He is Gods representative, his word is non different from Gods word, because God is speaking through him. (Holy Ghost) the son never becomes the father. Watchtower is a cult to start with and second Christ is part of the Trinity which consists of Father, Son and Holy Spirit, they are one God, so it is not possible to be inferior with of something that your one with. its like a person being inferior of your self. And God is God and He is not inferior to anything.
