Jesus, according to Milton Hunter of the LDS First Council of the Seventy, is the brother of Lucifer. "The appointment of Jesus to be the Savior of the world was contested by one of the other sons of God. He was called Lucifer, son of the morning. Haughty, ambitious, and covetous of power and glory, this spirit-brother of Jesus desperately tried to become the Savior of mankind" (The Gospel Through the Ages, p. 15).

The bible says Jesus is GOD

Jn 1:1,14 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God, 14 The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth. Col 1:15-16 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. 16 For by him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by him and for him.

This isn't targeted towards the atheists BTW

What if knowing the absolute truth meant that you would be in charge of the planet, because you had the connection(s) exclusively.

Would you need people to not know the truth, so they could build the things you wanted or got things done without question?

Would you manipulate them into not knowing?

Or, by telling them, would it cause chaos?

Would you hook a couple of your friends up with the truth? Or remain solo(Also this scenario includes that you have the ability and means to control the entire planet without question)

another Commandment split in two so there will still be Ten Commandments? I have heard all my life that the Catholic Bible omits the Commandment about not having any graven images (or something like that). I heard that the Catholics did that so they could have statues of Saints. Is that true, or was someone pulling my leg?

And, I am NOT bashing Catholicism. It's an honest question. I'm Pagan, but I"ve often thought that if I wasn't, I would probably be Catholic.

What distinguishes a very improbable event which happened to occur at a fortunate time, possibly after having been prayed for, but which does not defy any known laws of nature, from a genuine miracle, if there is such, for which there appears to be absolutely no rational explanation?

I feel as if I'm going crazy. I have these odd fetishes I'm afraid to tell anyone about because they're weird such as touching the floor with the tip of my "fat thumb" or that sometimes I have to do things twice until I think of a certain thing. I even have anxiety about my hair and if it isn't perfect I cry and waste hours of my day complaining about it. I think it may be OCD but I need more help physically and mentally, some spiritual help or advice would be great. PLEASE!!! :)

Why do people bash on each other in here? I mean, I have friends of almost every religious background including athiest, agnostic, christian, muslim, buddhist, etc... and every one of them are generally nice people. Now, I am going to specifically deal with the atheism vs. chrsitianity debate.

Why do people that call themselfves christian bash on athiests for their beliefs. As a christian myself, I think they are misguided, but they don't deserved to be attacked and pestered all the time for what they believe. Conversely, I have seen one too many athiest questions attacking christians for a small group of people that have given this religion a bad name.

A few examples: the child molesters in the Catholic church. The people that have a "holier than thou" attitude.

If anyone actually read the bible, you would realize that the main point of christianity is not about trying to convert others. It is about loving your neighbor, loving your enemies, and turning the other cheek when

I don't understand why people group all christians together. I am a christian I don't go to church because the people there are more screwed up than on the street. Also I like gay people, I do support christian ways but not when they seem evil like when they say God hates gays" Am I weird? Am I really a christian? I pray all the time and Believe in God. I like everyone for who they are, i don't judge them by what they choose to do or be. I think it should be that way. Why can't I do my own thing and just believe? Why do I have to go to church before I am accepted? The church people are mean and the preacher acts like he is the popular guy in the in crowd. I don't believe touching yourself is bad and I see nothing wrong with being with someone of same sex if it's mainly love. Why can't I just be good, do good deeds and still go to heaven?

I saw this when the 7/7 bombings happened. They interviewed people who were on the tube and they said they were calling, 'Please help God, I dont want to die'

And when some hurt touches man, he cries to his Lord (Allah Alone), turning to Him in repentance, but when He bestows a favour upon him from Himself, he forgets that for which he cried for before, and he sets up rivals to Allah, in order to mislead others from His Path. Say: "Take pleasure in your disbelief for a while: surely, you are (one) of the dwellers of the Fire!" (Qur'an 39:8)
