Defenitely. I don't force my beliefs of the ability to choose down the throats of Pro-Lifers (who, by the way, didn't exist as a political position until after the Roe v. Wade trial...) and I frankly don't want to be told no, because, God forbid, I offend them by making a personal choice that in no way, shape, or form affects them. What I as a woman do with my body is my business. The pro-choice position is, in my opinion, a great compromise to everyone as it gives everyone the right to CHOOSE. The pro-life position takes away a woman's right to do what she will or won't with her reproductive organs.
By the way...as this is America...religion doesn't and shouldn't ever affect this decision. The Word of God as so stated in too many arguments does NOT factor into abortion as a political debate. You can argue all you want that those who have abortions are going to hell or whatever at home, at work, at that little cafe down the street; but, you cannot use that argument when you're having a serious political debate about abortion.

Abortion is MURDER. Only God can create a life, and only God has the right to take a life. The baby in the womb is alive.
Five signs of life in the womb:
1. Heartbeat
Modern technology can detect a baby's heartbeat eighteen days after conception. That is only four days after most women miss a period and begin to suspect they are pregnant. Most abortions are not performed until the eighth week (56 days) of a pregnancy, or a little later.
2. Brain waves
Six weeks after conception signals from the fetal brain can be detected. Dream patterns have been discovered around the eighth or ninth week. Perhaps more advanced technology will someday show us heartbeats and brain waves at even earlier stages in the unborn child's life.
3. Independent movement
At about the sixth week, the baby in the womb can move spontaneously: Kicking, swimming, jumping and stretching. This is long before the mother will feel any sensations of movement.
4. Senses
A baby in the womb is capable of responding to touch and sound by about the eighth or tenth week. A child at that age will move away from painful stimuli, the most painful of which would be the abortionist's instrument.
5. Breathing
By about the fourteenth week, a baby's lungs are functioning and he or she will practice breathing. Vocal cords are formed by the thirteenth week, and were it not for a lack of air, the baby could be heard to cry!
From the very beginning, once a human egg is fertilized by sperm, there exists a new human being. All information about the child's sex, hair color, eye color, and much more is already present from the beginning.
And the child has different DNA than the mother, making the child a unique individual.

yes. they should be legal. should the woman who was rape be force into having child she did not want in the first place? many of these women grow up resenting and hating the child because the child is a constant reminder of that terrible incident. it's not fair for the boy or girlto grow up in an unloving home. luckily i'm one of those rare exceptions (my mother was rape at 18, but she decided to keep me and she's more than happy to have me in her life.). :-)
as for those pro-lifers who say that abortion shouldn't be allowed; that there are other options such as adoption or keeping the baby. well, sometimes, many of these adopted kids end up with terrible adoptive parents, they can end up living in run down orphanages, be easily manipulated and used by strangers who they thought were friends, or can grow up being angry or sad that their biological parents left them. some pro-lifers also don't take into account that maybe the mother can't support the baby, and that abortion is the only option to prevent future economic difficulties for her , the child or her other family members (remember, a large amount of abortions are made for low-income class women.). also, having an abortion can be necessary at times. how can you tell a woman not to have an abortion when she is risking severe health problems if she decides to keep it? why lose two lives when you can save one?
futhermore, the worst thing i have seen is those christian extremists who called these women and the doctors who perform the operation murderers, and yet, they have the nerve to go on and bomb abortion clinics. these so-called christians have actually hurted and killed people this way just so they can prevent other women from getting abortions at that specific clinic and to further their own twisted cause.
though i think it's within a woman's right to have an abortion, she should not think of an abortion as an easy way out.
also, an abortion is a procedure. a procedure with certain risks involved. this is somethings a woman needs to think hard about.
she does not know how having an abortion might affect her emotionally or physically. maybe she might actually regret having an abortion
as for late term abortions, they should be allowed in certain cases. sometimes women (remember many of them are poor) don't have the financial means to pay for an abortion during the first or second trimester. it's not fair to say no to them just because they weren't able to pay up during the early stages of pregnancy. if the woman chooses to have abortion done during the last trimester, it should be done in the most humanely way (as to cost the least amount of pain to the baby). so yeah, that's what i think. :-)

Procreation is an ongoing process which can be interrupted at any point, right from not having sex in the first place, through contraception, and drugs which prevent implantation, to abortion anywhere up to the moment of birth.
Somewhere along that process, most people would have a point where they consider it's OK to interfere to prevent the birth of a baby up to that point, but not afterwards - e.g. abstinence is OK, but contraception isn't.... or contraception is OK, but abortion isn't... or abortion is OK but only up to week 20... or whatever. It's simply a matter of conscience where you personally decide to draw the line, and on what basis.
For myself, I cannot accept that an undifferentiated bunch of cells has more rights than the fully grown adults who are responsible for its existence. I also cannot accept that it's right to kill a foetus when it's fully developed and due to be born. Logically then, there has to be a point somewhere in between that I decide, on the basis of conscience, is the point at which abortion becomes unacceptable. I don't know enough about it to have a definite view where that point lies, but it must lie somewhere in the 9 months of pregnancy. It's in the nature of life that there are no easy answers to this kind of question, as it's a matter of subjective opinion rather than objective fact - and my opinion is that abortion cannot be wrong, per se, so it should be legal up to a certain point.

Forcing a woman to remain pregnant when she does not want to is the moral equivalent of slavery. The 13th amendment outlawed that practice, and women should have the right to govern their own bodies without government interference. A child is not a human being until it is born.

I think it should be legal for exactly the reason you cite. I also think we need to spend more time educating people so that they don't use it for birth control, when a condom would have worked just fine.

No--why punish the baby for the sin of the Father? I feel sorry for the woman though who has to go through this. This is really a test for someones trust in God and that is what it is all about--trusting Gods will for a person.

Your question will be answered with questions, statements and the Word of God.
Would You Consider Abortion in These Four Situations?
1. There is a preacher and wife who are very, very poor. They already have 14 children. Now she finds out she is pregnant with her 15th. They are living in tremendous poverty. Considering their poverty and the excessive world population, would you consider recommending abortion?
2. The father is sick with sniffles and the mother has TB. They have 4 children. The first is blind, and the second is dead. The third is deaf and the fourth has TB. The mother finds she is pregnant again. Given the extreme situation, would you recommend abortion?
3. A man raped a 13-year-old black girl and she got pregnant. If you were her parents, would you consider recommending abortion?
4. A teenage girl is pregnant. She is not married. Her fiancé is not the father of the baby, and he is very upset. Would you recommend an abortion?
If you have answered, “yes” to any of these situations:
In the first case you would have killed John Wesley, one of the great evangelists of the 19th century.
In the second case, you would have killed Beethoven.
In the third case you would have killed Ethel Waters, the great black gospel singer.
In the fourth case you would have recommended the killing of Jesus Christ. +
According to the Word of God abortion isn't legal!
Thou shalt not kill. Exodus 20:13 KJV HOLY BIBLE ++
U.S. Abortion Deaths Compared to U.S. War Deaths
U.S. War Deaths from Revolutionary War through “War on Terror” is less than 2 million.+++
U.S. Abortion Deaths from 1973 through 2006 is more than 45,864,435 in 33 years.++++
Dear Ones,
If you have killed an unborn child(ren), you have transgressed the law. If you have helped a woman to kill the unborn child(ren), you have transgressed the law. The “morning after” pill kills an unborn child if after conception (the moment that life begins) the pregnancy is disrupted causing an abortion of life to take place. Transgressing the law is called sin.
For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Romans 6:23 KJV HOLY BIBLE +++++
If you have sinned and all have sinned according to the Word of God.
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Romans 3:23 KJV HOLY BIBLE ++++++
Their is still hope for us when we come short of the glory of God if we confess our sins.
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1st John 1:9 KJV HOLY BIBLE +++++++
This isn't a license to sin as the Word of God points out.
What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein? Romans 6:1-2 KJV HOLY BIBLE ++++++++
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God. John 3:16-21 KJV HOLY BIBLE +++++++++
