YOu go girl! I see things the same way you do! I am a christian but i support people who are gay, and i believe in reincarnation and no christian has the right to tell me I am not a christian. TO me the meaning of christian is believing in God and Jesus thats that! I also dont believe in Hell because God is a God of love not evil.

Christians believe in God, Jesus as the son of God, and the Holy Spirit. They believe that Jesus died to remove their sins. If you believe these things you are a Christian. You may be a better Christian than the mean church people, or maybe you aren't. God is the judge.

"What is good" is a question that is determined by your beliefs. For some, killing innocents is a "good." That is why it is so important to have the true set of beliefs. The arguments against gays are not made because people hate them, but because being gay is seen as a disorder and harmful to themselves and also to society. Just be aware of that line of thought. I encourage you to search out both side of these things you have issues with and try to understand the reasons for them.
Baptism is what makes one Christian. Wilful renunciation of the doctrines that Christ taught and handed down to us through the Apostles and their successors (the Pope and the bishops), is a rejection of Christ. If you reject Christ you are not His follower and therefore not Christian.
Often preachers in denominations are just the most popular. That doesn't make them wrong, of course. Try to look at the message and not the messenger.

Being a Christian isn't about doing your own thing. It's about doing God's will for your life. That's a discernment process that takes our whole life. With regards to "God hating gays" - not exactly Biblical. God hates the sin. This is a time of mercy, but He will judge us one day.You need other Christians, God never intended you to go it alone, that's why Jesus established his Church through the Apostles. If they aren't acting like it, look elsewhere.

God does not hate "gay" people, although people like to make it seem so. Naturally we weren't set up for that sort of thing, and it would seem completely rediculous to be homosexual if we hadn't been subject to so much of it in recent times. The bible does not endorse being "gay", but God does not hate people for going astray either, although he does hate evil and corrupt things. Yes people in church do have a lot of false crazy ideas, so does everyone answering your question, including me. You have to sort it out, and read your Bible for comfort. In the end the Bible should tell you what to do, not any person.

I believe that there are more Christians (followers of the life and teachings of Christ) who are not aligned with any of the world churches, than there are who profess to be Christians while living their lives as a lie to the life and teachings of Christ and hang out like a gang of spiritual thugs within the worldly minded churches of today.
Anyone who condemns another or others, is not Christian, no matter which church they attend or how often they attend. Reason: Christ himself warned his followers not to judge others, for in so doing they would condemn themeselves to eternal separation from him. (Matthew 7: 1, 2)
Anyone who does not welcome black, gays, women, or other minorities into their full fellowship is not following the teachings of Christ, no matter which church they attend, what they have been taught, or how often they attend, or how sincerely they believe they are right. "If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?" (I John 4: 20)
To cover one lie with another by saying we hate the sin, but we love the sinner, is tantamount to calling God a liar. The Christian of our age, is one who lives according to the dictates of Christ, not one who presumes to take the place of Christ. Therefore, I believe that most followers of Christ today worship Christ with their deeds, not with their man-made doctrines, and as such are not to be found in the worldly churches which are so popular, and appeal to the mainstream of those who are "lost."

Oh my goodness, the Reverend Jim Jones back from the dead.
Actually, Jesus was a Jew not a Christian.
There is a definition for Christian. It is: a person who believes in Jesus Christ; adherent of Christianity.
If you still meet this qualification, then you're still a Christian.

Christians were first called that in the book of Acts 11:26 (KJV) in the city of Antioch. To look at Chrsitian ways you first have to look at what the Bible says. You have to see what God says about gays. Check out Genesis 13. It also talks about in the book of Leviticus that a man should not lie with another man. If you want I can try to find the exact scripture. To be a Christian which means Little Christ you need to accept Jesus Christ as your personal Lord And Savior. You need to accept that you are a sinner, believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and confess that Jesus died on the cross, was buried and he rose again. It is a good to go to church to be feed for the upcoming week and to live out the message that you just heard. Maybe you need to find a church where the preacher or pastor is on the same level as the other believers. He should be humbling himself and not being prideful at being the popular guy in the crowd. After becoming a Christian it is about hearing God's Word and doing it. Make sure in finding a church that you find one that is preaching the truth of God's Word. In answering about touching yourself. The Bible talks about it but I am not sure of the exact location. I can find out if you want me too. My only answer to that is "What would Jesus do in that situation"? In answering the question about being with someone of the same sex it talks about that in the book of Leviticus as mentioned earlier. It also talks about it in the book of Romans Chapter 1. No one in this world is good. The only person that was good was Jesus Christ. The Bible says in Romans 3:23 (KJV) that "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God". The Bible also says that in Romans 3:10 (KJV) that "There is none righteous, no, not one". Also to get saved it is by God's infinite, matchless, wonderful grace. In Ephesians 2:8-9 (KJV) it says that "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast". Your good works will not get you into heaven. It is by accepting Jesus Christ as your personal Lord & Savior. In John 3:3 (KJV) Jesus says "Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God". You need to be born again to get into God's kingdom. That is the only way. It is a free gift.

You know. Asking yourself if you still are a christian is a good thing. Did you ask God into your heart? Do you believe that Christ died on the cross for your sins? God will not make you perfect. We are all still alot ugly amd works in progress. It is just that His voice is small, and we need to listen for it.
