Here we all are squabbling over the petty niceties of our respective religions (or lack thereof). Meanwhile war, famine, disease and global warming rage on unabated.
I often put myself in the Creator's position (empathy you see), and I would not be well pleased with the mess we've made. Personally I doubt if any of us stand a cat's chance in hell of getting to heaven if there's a total holocaust or armageddon, whatever you'd like to call it. Time to do something positive- feed the starving, disarm and disempower the lunatic regimes, and start to live ecologically sustainable lives.
Meanwhile the famous four horsemen are looming on the horizon..and looking at their watches..so long and good luck!

I am a Christian. I am also accepting of those who choose to practice another faith. Some folks have told me that by doing this I am intern showing reasonble doubt in my own faith. I don't believe so, but they quote scriptures saying "thou can't serve two masters", etc.... Can this be so, It is not my choice to follow the Qu'ran, but I will not persecute one who does, nor the Torah, or any other faith. Does this make me a Hypocrite??

I understand that everyone should dress as they choose. I understood that it was more of an issue that the students could not understand the woman under a veil. Perhaps that woman did not feel that way. Islamic people feel that British society in not letting them assimulate into the community.

I applied for a job at a Seventh Day Adventist hospital. I would not shave my facial hair. Thus, I was not hired. No big deal I found another hospital that hired me.

If I were working in an Arabic country would I be allowed to drink alcohol? Of course not. Do we have a double stand here. Possibly. Is this being blown out of proportion. Is there anything Britian can do to make a compramize?

Since they don't believe and are accused of living sin filled lives, one would think we'd be more prone to being easily possessed. So how many of you have been possessed by demons? I haven't! Nor do I believe in such things.

An atheist does not have to say "I KNOW there is no god," to be an atheist.

There's this argument going around a lot tonight that says, "They don't know, so they aren't really atheist, they are agnostic."

Agnostic means you have the philosophy that no one can know if there is a god or gods. An atheist can say, "I don't know, but I don't believe either," and be both atheist and agnostic.

Do you understand this? As long as there is no *belief* the person is an atheist.

He has a plan that can't change right? Shouldn't everything that happens be working towards this plan? Why would he have any reason to dislike anything that happens on earth since his omnipotent plan is in action? How can our puny actions affect gods plan?

BAGHDAD, Iraq - Iraq's government indefinitely postponed a much-anticipated national reconciliation conference Sunday as a two-day spree of sectarian revenge killings and insurgent bombings left at least 86 Iraqis dead.

Meanwhile, a militant network that includes al-Qaida in Iraq announced in a video that it had established an Islamic state in six provinces, a propaganda push in its drive to force the withdrawal of U.S. forces and topple the American-backed Iraqi government.

The Mujahedeen Shura Council — an umbrella organization of insurgent groups in Iraq — said the new state was made up of six provinces including Baghdad that have large Sunni populations, along with parts of two other central provinces that are predominantly Shiite.
