God does not exist.
If we had a creator - he died when he/her/it set off the Big Bang.
If we don't - then it was all a big cosmic accident.
Two genuine reasons (not one) why god cannot prove himself.

He has already spoken. Look around you.
Romans 1:20-31 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. God works miracles at various times to manifest Himself.
Do some research about Lourdes. For example:

The Catholic Church recognizes a number of miracles from Lourdes as authentic after they have been examined by a panel of scientists, many of whom are non-Catholic.

If you're not looking for miracles, I don't know what you want. People can throw holy books at you all day long. Miracles...that's a bit harder to come by.

He has, by the many miracles He has accomplished through the Old Testament (see Exodus) and through Himself personified in His Son Jesus, through His many miracles in the New Testament. Even today there's still many miracles that occur.
But the bigger question, why don't people believe even after these miracles? =^) God bless.

God has proven himself to exist! He sent down Jesus Christ to save us, and Jesus stated that he was the son of God, that God really existed, but people denied it, and you are one of those people, and he has been showing you he exists, you just don't pay attention, so open your ears, and eyes, and discover God.

All of Creation testifies to His existence. That you choose not to believe is your issue, not God's.

becaue then the matter would be concluded and disbelievers would be thrown into hell. Allah's signs are clear for men of understanding
And they say: Why has not an angel been sent down to him? And had We sent down an angel, the matter would have certainly been decided and then they would not have been respited. (Qur'an 6:8)
