as we fight against the devil's strongholds?

God's weapons are - prayer, faith, hope, love, God's Word, the Holy Spirit - and they are powerful and effective. These weapons can break down proud human arguments against God and the walls that Satan builds to keep people from finding God.

I'm a strong believer in God and I'm a christian but I'm getting way in over my head. I've suffered from depression for years now. Situations at home life aren't very good and I tend to hold it in, now, I know people say just talk about it blah blah but it's not that easy. Especially the severity of this. I'm 17 and I've been going through it since I was 11 or younger. I attempted suicide in 10th grade, I'm now a senior (12th) and I've started cutting myself again. I try to pray and call out to God and let him help me but it just doesn't. I try and believe and proclaim that he will bring me through these things or at least let me deal with them better but it's been my whole life nothing has happened. =/ I just need some support or something.

Biblical archaeology question. I have a reference to Elath, in the Arabah or Arava Valley. I am just curious since I live near a copper mine in Utah. The reference includes a Dr. Nelson Glueck of the American School of Oriental Research, but I'm having trouble finding anything about him on the Internet, perhaps because it was about 70 years ago.

I personally feel that if the end of the world comes it will of course be a self fullfilling prophcy, the Muslim extremists are on the warpath, they are slowly drawing the entire Muslim world into the fray thanks to our supreme born again psychotic leader Bush, who clearly doesn't care how many die. We have plenty of Christian fanatics ready to go on the warpath, but they want to rally their forces before they really show their true colors, and Iran will soon have nuclear weapons. So how long does everybody think we have before all the religious fanatics and their followers put us in a huge global war with millions dead because they can't just accept that others might have beliefs contrary to their own. After all they've done it before, looks like it's about to happen again. And it looks like we soon could be looking back on things as they are now as the good old days.

I mean, apparently murder is okay because God will forgive ya. Isn't that just a wonderful state of mind. If I do something wrong, it's okay, because I'll be forgiven.

I'm glad I'm an atheist.

What a friend we have in Jesus
All our sins and griefs to bear
What a privilage to carry
Everything to God in prayer.
Oh what peace we often forfeit
Oh what needless pain we bear
All because we do not carry
Everything to God in prayer

Have we trials and temptations
Is there trouble anywhere
Precious Saviour still our refuge
Take it to the Lord in prayer.
Can we find a friend so faithful
Who will all our sorrows share
Jesus knows our every weakness
Take it to the Lord in prayer.

Will these words encourage you to bring everything to God in prayer?

do some people really think that if seeing colours around a person and giving thought on what those colours may mean is demonic ?
do you know that colour therapy is used world wide ... even in hospitals and schools as colour is known to have certain properties ?
do you know that we all radiate light, heat and colour ?
why would God ( if you believe in him ) make us this way if there was no purpose to us being this way ?

He does things for us everyday...simply waking us up in the morning is reason enough to thank him. But I would like to hear what some of you have to share.

God didn't say to Adam "You're going to hell if you eat it!". He said "ye shall surely die".

Genesis 3:19 .....for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou retun".
